Não gostou Not able to use the showers as the boiler was broken. The site manager did apologise. We were able to use a shower in a static caravan.
The grass needs cutting. I did see a man go in the ladies block to clean , no notice to say that a male could be cleaning the ladies block .

Gostou Having previously stayed at this cmapsite we decided to book again because of it's location to St.Merryn.
Also on our previous visit we were told that the clubhouse was under construction and a new complex was being built with swimming pool.

Não gostou Unfortunately the new complex is yet to take shape. In fact in 2 years they are no further forward. It is an eye sore!
They do offer a small bar but no entertainment or food being served.

The onsite shop had very few products.

The pitches are hard standing but unkept. Weeds growing through the gravel.

The shower block was kept clean but on several occasions had no toilet paper.

We were also told on arrival that only one of the four boilers were working so the water in the shower block would be lukewarm.
It definitely wasn't warm enough to shower in and we were glad we had only booked 2 nights.
For £34 per night I expect to be able to have a warm shower.

We decide to move to another site for our 3rd night for a lower price, were we had fabulous amenities, a bar and entertainment, a well stocked shop, two swimming pools and a beach front location.

Gostou Showers and loos were clean and well maintained

Não gostou Pitches were close together with no shade or privacy.
The couple running the site were always friendly but didn’t seem to know very much about the local buses.
The derelict buildings at the entrance were rather off putting

Não gostou Only thing we didn’t like was a tent was erected right next to our car parking space and we had to park our car elsewhere.

Gostou Peaceful, Alison and Andrew were a lovely couple the facilities were very clean and the whole site was very well kept.

Não gostou You do need a car if you don't want to keep securing things as the buses were not always reliable

Não gostou The site offers great value for money and has everything you need. It was particularly useful having hoses available to refill the motorhome with water, which was very convenient.

The woman on reception was very helpful and even took the time to walk me to my pitch, which was a nice touch and appreciated.

However, there were a few issues during my stay. On arrival, dust blowing over from the building site across the road made it difficult to sit outside and enjoy the sun. There was also a vehicle driving around until around 1 am, which I assume was security, but it was quite loud and disruptive.

The biggest issue for me was being woken early by a bin truck moving quickly around the site at around 7 am. The noise and speed made it feel quite disruptive, especially when trying to rest.

It does seem like there are a lot of long term residents on site, so I appreciate I may have just caught things on a bad day. That said, it may be worth raising the dust issue with the building site opposite, as proper dust control should be in place. It could also help to speak with the waste collection company to avoid collections before 9 am, as the early morning activity was very disruptive.

Additionally, the entrance area, including an abandoned building and overgrown grass, could benefit from some maintenance to improve first impressions.

I have tried to keep this review fair and balanced based on my experience.

Gostou Really friendly staff, made us feel welcome even leant us a mallet, the facilities were clean and warm overall a lovely site

It will be a great site once the have there new complex built.

Gostou Big campsite with a good sized pitch allocated to us. The owners are really friendly and helpful if you have any questions. Shower and toilet facilities are kept clean to a higb standard with a nice touch of having the radio playing in there.
