The Hop Farm is a huge camping and touring park in 500 acres of open fields and woodland, 15 minutes' drive from Tonbridge. The River Medway flows through the park – so arrive by canoe if you like, or stick around on site for fishing and kayaking. The site also has the stunning backdrop of historic oast houses, the largest collection of Victorian-era oast-houses in the world. Facilities include a modern shower and toilet block that's been recently refurbished and modernised. Local shops and amenities are five minutes away by car.

Gostou Easy check in, spacious pitch, clean toilets and showers, recycle bin.
10 minute walk to river Medway, 20 minute walk to river cafe and Coop.
Bus stop at entrance , no 6 to either Maidstone or Tunbridge Wells.
Brewers Fayre at entrance.

Gostou Open spaces and plenty of areas to freely park and set up camp.

Não gostou There are locks on the toilet block doors meaning a code needed to be entered each time when using the facilties. Broken locks on inner toilet cubical doors meant some were out of action.

You should take the kids playground photos off your website, because there’s no playground within miles!!! Unless you want to sit in a dirty pub down the road!

Não gostou Everything, we were supposed to stay 2 nights and we lasted 1.
My daughter said it was the wotst and most boring place she’d ever been!
Maybe upgrade your was facility’s to.
But you are definitely lying to the public with your photos.

Do gerente: I am sorry you did not enjoy your stay booked for 2 adults.
When booking on Pitchup it states "The nearby visitor attraction/children rides are closed.." and on the official Hop Farm website there is no longer any mention of the farm or play park and no photos.
Many couples and families come here for the country and river walks and to enjoy precious time together bringing indoor and outdoor games, we also have books and games to borrow in the office for those guests who forget to bring them.

Gostou Very kind staff lady that when we had a small issue was extremely helpful and even gave us a bottle of wine as a gesture and drove down to see us to make sure everything was ok. Stayed there a few times now and will be going back again!

Gostou Fabulous, huge site. The problem we experienced with a broken tap was quickly dealt with.

Não gostou Not enough showers and toilets for the amount of people staying there at that time. Also because of the frequency of use they should be cleaned 3 times a day in my opinion.

Gostou Loved everything about this place, it was relaxed, toilets/ showers nice and clean. There is so much land to choose from we were so far away from any other campers it was only us making any noise. Felt private, secluded, tranquil, yet rustic living in the wild next to a river perfect for paddleboarding and man made swings that the kids entertained themselves on for hours. The owners/organisers were friendly and helpful.
Will definitely be going back there!

Gostou We were camping / non electric and had so much space and a huge choice of pitches. Great location. We walked along the river, played on rope swings and then into the village, we also visited local Tunbridge Wells and Scotney castle. Toilets and showers generally plentiful and well maintained.

Não gostou The shower cubicles were a little smaller than we were used to at campsites which didn't leave much room to keep clothes dry or get changed in privacy. One of the toilet / shower blocks was closed for most of our stay.
We were hoping that the shop might sell balls to play with, and wood for our fire pit. All in all though, we really enjoyed this campsite. And would return.

Gostou The staff were so friendly and helpful. The facilities are modern and looked after.
There is so much space if you are non-electric. You can nearly have an entire field to yourself.
We stayed in the electric field which was much more busy but it was clean, tidy and also peaceful.

Não gostou I went into the bathrooms around 12pm and some lovely lady/ladies had left 💩 on the floor and then on the seat in another cubicle. This was still there at 10pm. I’m unsure of how frequently they clean the shower blocks and maybe this was a one off. But on this occasion they were not cleaned after the morning clean.

I am sorry if the facilities were not up to standard this time, during the week they have 2 daily cleans and 3 on a weekend or perhaps the culprit decided to leave the mess on more than one occasion.

Once the kids let you off site, Kent (aka The Garden of England) has beaches, historic towns, forests and more castles, stately homes (and gardens) open to the public than anywhere else in the country. If this isn't enough, Paddock Wood railway station is five minutes’ drive from The Hop Farm for a train to London, less than an hour away. Dover is within 60 miles for a day trip to France. Kent has 350 miles of coastline, with Blue Flag beaches, watersports and those famous white cliffs at Dover. Eight of the 11 Blue Flaggers are in Ramsgate, Margate and Broadstairs; Whitstable and Herne Bay are also popular with oyster eaters, anglers and jetskiers. There are umpteen options for families in the area including play centres, farms, horse riding and days out. Howletts Wild Animal Park at Canterbury has the biggest group of looked-after gorillas in the world and experiences for visitors such as junior ranger days. Penshurst Place and Gardens has historical re-enactments, children’s trails, an adventure playground and special events during the school holidays. Both Leeds Castle at Maidstone and Hever Castle near Edenbridge are family-friendly and packed with activities and events. There’s a Go Ape! at Leeds Castle as well as two mazes, boat trips, falconry displays, underground grotto and the Knights' Realm Playground, a scale model of the castle (and a golf course and golf instruction for the grownups). Hever, the childhood home of Anne Boleyn, has a yew maze and water maze, award-winning gardens and a topiary. Back with the big folk, the old market towns of Tonbridge, Maidstone, Sevenoaks and Tonbridge Wells are close by for shopping and sightseeing. Bluewater shopping centre is in Greenhithe (rival Lakewater is just over the Essex border at West Thurrock).
