Gostou The site was very clean and well maintained. Plenty for children to do. All staff were very friendly and polite. Showers and toilets are
Cleaned regularly. Although on very busy times there was no toilet roll. But I did take my own as used to this on other sites. Overall a really lovely site

Gostou Was really pleased with lower Hyde, don't believe everything you read I was worried when I read previous reviews, grandkids enjoyed outside pool

Não gostou Was a bit chilly and noisy first night but that's not down to the park .husband caught arm on a nail on main door of shower block did report and hopefully been dealt with

Gostou Lovely welcome and information given.
Lovely spacious pitches, a little walk to toilet block / main area for LO so a scooter or bike is helpful.

Outdoor pool is great - good depth for my LOs (5&3) (was a little cold but fab in hot weather!)

Great location to get around the island and see lots.

Não gostou Toilet block isn’t cleaned efficiently and checked enough throughout the day - often no toilet paper and mess in toilets.

Showers don’t have any sides to put clothes/bags on / very wet.

Park is rubber chunks - feet and clothes covered in black.

Gostou The staff and activities were brilliant. Kids really enjoyed. Food was nice. Entertainment was good 😊

Não gostou Activityes were a little confusing to book with the qr codes but the pool staff were brilliant and helped out alot.

Gostou The activities for the children, aged 3 and 6, were very good, and the whole team were extremely helpful throughout our stay.

Não gostou The caravan we stayed in, no 19, was very tired and needed an overhaul or replaced. It was reasonably clean but I did have to buy bleach and clean the bathroom along with the kitchen equipment and crockery.

The swimming was good but staffing was an issue as the children couldn’t use the slide for some of the session.

We purchased the offer for 5 activities but the web site does not let you book online.

Teigan helped us when we arrived but because we couldn’t book online there was a lot of events we wanted to attend which were full booked.

Gostou The pitch is much larger than originally expected, the electric hook up was a welcome addition, the toilets/shower block was well placed, close enough for ease but far enough that it wasn’t in direct line of sight.

There’s a shop on site if you get caught short and equally just down the road from the site was a supermarket. All needs were met.
The staff on site were all very friendly and accommodating, made you feel at ease from the moment you arrived.

The access to the on site facilities was fantastic, our little one had a blast and so did we.

Não gostou The only things we disliked were:

The site restaurants, bars, shop etc were a little bit on the expensive side, but you could just pop to the supermarket easily enough.

The camping and touring reception wasn’t staffed on our arrival. On the day of our arrival we received several emails from the site labelled “arrival information” and this wasn’t mentioned. So it was a bit confusing on where we had to check in and what we needed to do, however, the staff at the main reception were friendly and overall we were very well looked after.

Gostou We had a fantastic stay at Lower Hyde Holiday Park. The safari tent was clean, comfortable, and well equipped, making it a great place to relax. The park was peaceful, family-friendly, and the staff were welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The facilities were excellent, and the location was perfect for exploring Shanklin and the beautiful Isle of Wight. We would definitely recommend it and can't wait to return.

Gostou The site is lovely, we were quite near the toilets and shower block although i still had to drive there due to mobility issues. They were clean and the shower was lovely and hot and a stool supplied in there which was a relief. We would definitely go again. The staff were lovely and very welcoming and allowed us to check in early as it wasnt busy.

Não gostou The price for 1 and a half pints of coke in the diner over £8 which we thought was expensive. We had a traditional breakfast and we weren't impressed. It was £20.99 for the 2 with a flat white coffee each. The breakfast was mushrooms, fried egg, 1 sausage, bacon, hash brown and beans. The mushrooms were stone cold, the hash brown was soggy too. The breakfast wasnt cooked fresh, it had clearly been nuked in a microwave. I wouldn't order that again. I was going to complain but we were just so hungry we put up and shut up.
