Silverdale Holiday Park

Gostou Camped with my two boys aged 3 and 5.

The facilities on site are great! The pool, bowling and soft play for rainy days were a godsend. Equally the play areas were great for the boys to let off some steam.

The site in general was really well maintained and clean including the shower and pot wash facilities.

The ad doc nature of where you can pitch your tent means the site is always changing and you can tailor your spot to what you want.

Não gostou Sometimes the hot water in the shower block and pool did drop off. At the same time I need to realise we were camping and not in a spa resort!

Gostou The site is well kept and has great facilities. Toilets and showers kept clean

Pitches are a decent size

Não gostou Dog friendly site but you cannot take them into the club house

Roads into the site have sharp corners and country lanes

We also appreciate your feedback regarding our dog policy and the access roads. While dogs are welcome across much of the park, they aren't permitted inside the clubhouse due to food hygiene regulations, and we understand this may be disappointing for some guests. As for the country lanes leading to the site, they are typical of our rural location, and we always recommend driving with extra care.

Gostou The location and the comfy beds.

Não gostou For the price it would have been nice to have the option for towels. Also a few basic bits in the kitchen like salt, pepper and olive oil.
Having to strip beds before check out and disposing of rubbish also seemed a bit of an ask considering the price point.
The shop onsite could do with a bit of an overhaul, the addition of more fresh produce and local cheeses etc would have been nice.

Gostou The best campsite we have ever been. Beautiful, clean, sea view, good size pitches . Customer service professional and very friendly. Delicious food in the bar. We had an issue with our touring caravan and they even helped straight away ! Thank you for this. Our kids love this place. We definitely come back.

Gostou Lovely private pitches with hedging all around the pitch.

Não gostou Roads very narrow upto the site,hard to manouver with oncoming vehicles.
The amenities were quite far away from the pitches.Some people may find this not good as its quite a walk.

Gostou On arrival the staff who greeted us were very friendly and helpful, the site itself is spotless, lovely walks from the site, the swimming pool was great for the grandkids, as was the bowling alley, it rained on our second day so was really good being able to have some indoor activities,
The clubhouse was really good as well, we ate there both days and found the food very tasty and the service was excellent

Não gostou No phone signal, Internet or TV signal even when plugged into the cable, the sites wifi was okay but very intermittent, didn't really affect us but the kids love there Netflix before bed
