Pointer Farm Campsite

Gostou Beautifully peaceful site. Really small which suited us perfectly.
Toilet block was lovely
Covered washing up area was useful in the drizzle
Lovely to be on the farm with all the associated noise from the animals
Close to explore lots of the sights of Lancashire

Gostou Easy check in .water and electric on pitch

Não gostou No where to put clothes when having shower . everywhere was wet due to poor lay out of showers .

Gostou This was a perfect camping spot for us this weekend. We booked 2 pitches with family and were given a lovely big corner spot which we made into home. the toilet/ shower block wasn't too far away and was always spotless and warm. Well located for Blackpool and Liverpool for days out with plenty of supermarkets within a 15min driving radius.

Gostou The site was clean and well maintained. There were good clean facilities with plenty of amenities. The pitches were large and spacious with electric, and the bonus of water and WIFI. Straight forward instruction for arrivals even though there is no reception on site the owns are available if you have any questions. Would highly recommend and will be visiting again soon.

Gostou We really enjoyed our stay here. The site was small and peaceful. The water and electricity were next to each other at the end of each pitch which was really convenient. The site was easy to access. The local pubs in the area are really good.

Não gostou The unisex toilet block was very clean and warm and served its purpose very well, however separate toilet blocks for men and women would be nice (not a criticism). The very large stones round the pitches are difficult to walk on - smaller pebbles thrown over the larger ones would be better (only our suggestion).

Gostou The stay there was explant nice peaceful stay and the people that own and run it very nice and helpful can't waite to go back again i would recommend it to friends and family

Não gostou Long grass which they say is to stop cars from turning the field into a bog and i have never been asked to move my car from the tent to the car park to save the grass they say, so, leave the grass long to save the field from car damage and then ban cars, there making it up as they go along.

Do gerente: We were genuinely disappointed to read your review and particularly surprised by the 6/10 rating, given that no concerns or issues were raised with us during your stay. We make a point of being available and approachable on-site, and it’s disheartening not to be given the chance to resolve any problems at the time.

We had a significant amount of rain the week prior to your visit, and our policy of restricting vehicles on the field unless absolutely necessary is in place precisely to preserve the ground for all guests. This approach has worked well to keep the site clean, safe, and enjoyable – particularly in wet conditions.

What we find most disappointing is receiving a low rating without context or communication. Reviews have a real impact, especially for small sites like ours, where a huge amount of work goes on behind the scenes, often for modest return. Feedback is welcome and valuable, but fairness matters – and it’s only fair to raise concerns when they occur, giving us the opportunity to address them.
