The Lune Valley is a particularly choice spot for a Lancashire outdoor break. Why so? Well, it’s within the Forest of Bowland National Landscape for some scenic walks and outdoor activities… and it’s also within very easy reach of the Yorkshire Dales National Park for even more of those scenic walks and outdoor activities. This is the area that’s home to Bridge House Farm Campsite, a quiet little site on the riverbank in the village of Wray. With gorgeous scenery all around and a peaceful atmosphere on site, it’s a lovely spot for a peaceful break in this part of the world – and that’s before you’ve even noted that the village pub and community shop are only about five minutes’ walk away. You won’t need to go even that far for sustenance, though, as the campsite is next door to the Bridge House Farm tearooms, serving up breakfasts, lunches, homemade cakes and hot drinks. You’ll be welcome to light up a barbecue on your pitch as well if you fancy a bit of outdoor cooking. This is a simple pop-up site where facilities are limited to just portable toilets and a chemical disposal point, but you’ll have plenty of space to set your kit up how you want it – there’s room for awnings, gazebos and camping chairs here. Getting to the site is fairly easy, as it’s only about 20 minutes from the M6 at Lancaster. Once you’re settled in you can start planning your outings – waterfalls, caves, mountains, gardens and forest walks all await nearby.

Gostou We loved it here. The fields are nice and tidy. Cafe is lovely. Staff lovely. Great location near the river, shop and pub. Kids loved the little park/swings too.

Gostou Lovely site. Liked the stream and animals about and little tea room and local pub. Nice to have something round about you. And good value for money. Nice and clean.

Não gostou Could do with another toilet as only 1 on site and could be a problem if site was busy.

Gostou Amazing stay. First time camping and enjoyed the off grid feel. No EHU. Has 3 portaloos on the field, one connected to water and a water tap.

Gostou The campsite is lovely, the tea cafe is amazing and food and cake are amazing. Me and my really enjoyed the small village and we also went to the local pub were it had great food and a huge and nice outdoor garden and dogs are welcome! Overall great campsite and can't wait to visit again in the future and would highly recommend.

Gostou We had a fantastic stay here! The pitches were spacious and set in a lovely rural setting, perfect for camping in our tent. The children absolutely loved playing in the river, and the owners were so friendly and welcoming.

An added bonus was the classic car show that was on during our stay — fantastic for all the family! 🚗🏕️ Definitely recommend and we will certainly be returning. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Gostou Nice site well kept and easy to find at a good price. Toilet was a porta loo but with a proper flushing toilet in which was nice and clean.

Gostou Felt like we had enough room and privacy. The kids loved going to the river which was easy to get to and by far the best 'activity' was being in nature. Other families there seemed nice. Cafe seemed clean but overpriced, cute little shop and garden centre.

Não gostou This was our first time camping, arrived and went to the tearoom to 'check in' as it wasn't clear what to do. Just told to pitch up anywhere - so we went on the first field next to the car park as we thought it would be good for the kids to be near the swings.
We were given absolutely no practical information about toilets, bins or any other facilities if there were any. It would have also been good to know that there was a private party in the marquee - it was absolutely reasonable and all went quiet at 10pm, but with very young children we would have chosen to be further from the noise as they couldn't settle.
We used the cafe toilets and had our own, as there was only one portaloo in the other field which wasn't good enough for the amount of people there.
We were looking forward to eating in the cafe but at £17 for a panini we didn't entertain it.
