Three miles from Blackpool! If you want to pitch up near the Pleasure Beach, give things a whirl at Pipers Height Caravan Park, set in 60 acres of greenery an easy drive or bus ride from the city sights and lights. Pipers Height doesn't like to toot its own horn, but it's got a pretty solid reputation for its high standards as a family-run park, with newly renovated and spotlessly kept amenities including toilet and shower blocks with underfloor heating, separate disabled and family facilities, and a well-maintained laundry room with coin-operated machines, an iron and an ironing board. Also on site is an adventure playground with zipwire (for the kids to reach heady heights at) and a well-stocked shop (for ice-cream afterwards). And if you're planning to boogie the night away in Blackpool? Get a bus from the nearby Tesco into town for a couple of quid; taxis back should cost about a tenner. Party on.

Gostou We’ve just returned from our first stay and can honestly say it won’t be our last.

The park is in a brilliant location with easy access into Blackpool, while still being peaceful and well maintained. The site and facilities were spotlessly clean and tidy.

What really stood out was the team. From our initial booking through to a couple of queries on arrival, everyone was friendly, welcoming and incredibly helpful. Nothing was too much trouble, and the customer service was excellent throughout.

A fantastic family break and we’re already looking forward to coming back.

Gostou One of our fave regilar sites , lovely and clean , great staff, great service, fascolities fab. Great location to nip into lytham which we prefer over blackpool centre. Great dog walking fascility, easy access back onto motorway. Freindly dog freindly outdoor bar area.

The Pleasure Beach theme park has been going strong since 1896 and is the most visited attraction in all the land, with the biggest number of rollercoasters of any theme park in Britain. The Big One, the tallest rollercoaster in the UK (once the world) will give anyone a big drop in their tum on its very big drops: very highly recommended. A climb up Blackpool Tower and a delve into Blackpool Tower Dungeon should be next, before trips to Blackpool's three other main attractions: Blackpool Zoo, set in 32 acres and with over 1,500 animals; Blackpool Sea Life Centre, where over 2,000 inhabitants live in 50+ displays, and the city's Sandcastle Waterpark, the biggest indoor waterpark in the UK. And if your little people were round-eyed at Blackpool Zoo, they should also like the award-winning Farmer Parr's Animal World in nearby Fleetwood, to see farm animals, rare breeds and some more exotic, non-native species.
