Gostou Didn’t stay long enough to see if there was anything positive about the area

Não gostou Arrived and the spacious area that is advertised was no where to be seen.
There were already 5 tents on the tiny patch of grass all less than half a metre apart. No space at all, definitely no room to park your car next to it. It was that tight we were told to wait for the previous people to pitch up before we could make a start on our tent.
If there had have been a fire none of the families would have stood a chance due to how close the tents were.

Dogs are welcome however when you get there you aren’t allowed to walk them on the site.

Grass area was right on the road side too.
Manager rude and intimidating when approached to see if there was another area we could pitch up with a bit more space. Kept asking us what our problem was over and over again.

Upon reading other reviews I can see other people have had the same thoughts and issues. Wish I had read them before booking. We left the site after being left feeling uncomfortable after speaking to manager. Our children begged us not to stay after the whole interaction left them also feeling uncomfortable.

I wish I had took photos of all the tents crammed together but we were so uncomfortable we just wanted to get our family off the site and away from the situation.

£100 wasted as refund was refused.

Gostou Brilliant site in a brilliant location, the onsite pub is very reasonable with lovely food, (I recommend trying the stuffed chicken). All the staff were very friendly. The pitch was a good size with water taps on every pitch .

Não gostou The only thing that let's this site down is the showers/toilets. They could do with a refurb. Also, Not a big issue for us, but be aware that the site is next to the main east coast train line so be prepared for some noise from the inter city trains going past about every 30 minutes or so .

Gostou Stayed here for one night as we were in the area for the Dinky Dub Fest. We didn’t use the pub as we literally just parked our camper up to sleep in after the festival so cannot comment on the quality of food and pub services but it was busy inside and the food looked ok from what I saw people were having. Pitches were pretty good with electric hook up and water pipe (effectively making the ‘super pitches’. The lady that booked us in was very friendly and helpful.

Não gostou The toilet / shower block was the only disappointment (in my own personal opinion - which is different to everyone I accept ). Very worn, dated and having a dirty appearance - I didn’t want to spend more time in there than was absolutely necessary.

All said and done, every pitch looked occupied so facilities are bound to look dirty at times and cannot comment on when they were cleaned as I wasn’t there long enough so it would be unfair to judge further. Plus, given the pub was busy along with the pitches says something about the place and its popularity

Não gostou No toilet papers, dirty closet, (brush full or sh*t) when you take a shower, the light turn off (timing too short)
The funiest part is high speed trains passing along the pitches. The weirdest place for a camping and the dirtiest camping I ever see. Just run away!

Gostou Lovely site, nice pitch hook up and water on pitch.
Pub was a bonus too
Had a great meal

Gostou Hand dryer was powerful in ladies toilet block

Location as handy for family.

Não gostou Water taps in ladies block just dribble water, not enough to rinse a toothbrush in the week but come Saturday they worked!!!

Dishwashing is outside so if it rains you get wet while doing it.

No toilet paper in some of ladies toilets

No hand-wash in ladies toilets

No dog walk you have to walk along a main road

Facilities are very dated and not very clean.
