Surrounded by Slaley Forest in Northumberland, the touring pitches at Springhouse Boutique Holiday Park are just as peaceful as they are scenic. And that’s not all that there is to like about this dog-friendly site, as there’s always something to do locally, whether your plans involve walking, cycling, wildlife spotting, heritage outings or admiring the dark skies. That excellent list of activities is down to the location – the site is within 15 minutes’ drive of Corbridge, Hexham and Derwent Reservoir. There's good access to lots of other top-notch Northumberland spots from this park too. For example, hikers need only take a 10-minute drive to get to the edge of the North Pennines or a 15-minute drive to hit the Hadrian's Wall Path. Your local town here is Corbridge, a place with a traditional marketplace, a bakery and an old-fashioned grocer. The Roman town also has an open-air museum and rare Roman armour. You might want to grab a pub lunch while you're out, as historical pubs also line the streets. Hexham is another fine spot nearby – on the banks of the river Tyne, this market town has a large abbey, museum, park and lots of different eateries. Back at the park, an on-site restaurant and bar (open on Friday and Saturday evenings and Sunday lunchtimes throughout the season, plus on Monday and Thursday evenings during the school holidays) take care of those times when you want a relaxed meal, a refreshing pint or a hot brew, and there's a spacious play area to keep the kids busy. Other facilities include showers, toilets and a launderette.

Gostou Nice size pitches. Nice tidy site. Showers and toilets clean. Launderette facilities and nice touch with the library.

Não gostou Park a little untidy with rubbish left by some of the kids. We were only booked there one night so it was likely tidied the following day. Wouldn't stop me revisiting the site.

Gostou We stayed for 1 night in our campervan on Hazel Court. Our pitch was perfect for us. Springhouse is a peaceful well kept holiday park with great clean facilities. The layout of the site is very good too.
Staff are friendly and accommodating. We will definitely return for a longer stay.

Gostou The site is in Northumberland countryside, staff are pleasant n helpfull, small shop, cafe n bar, gym, full washing laundry facilities, Play area is well maintained n kitted out, we found children joined in n played together in the woods n around the site, only down side wine expensive. One of the best and friendly sites we have been on take your time getting there narrow country roads but definitely worth going

Gostou Quiet area, pitches well prepared and the water and waste points were close by.
The chips in the bar were very good! The WiFi was decent and held decent strength throughout most of the park.

I think the showers and toilets were bang average, and not cleaned often enough for the daily traffic they had.
The term "Lounge" is a little misleading regarding the onsite pub, as its little more than a back yard bar with a kitchen. Although the food was OK, it took a while as I think we were the only diners that evening.

I would suggest the use of language to regard this site as a "Boutique Holiday Park" is waxing lyrical somewhat. Its a pleasant little park, with decent pitches and nice looking lodges, but Boutique would suggest fine quality facilities and a rather more grand bar. I felt misled. Call the park what it is, and I think id be more positive.

Must be within reach of a golf course at all times? Then it’ll be handy to know that Springhouse Boutique Holiday Park is a 10-minute drive from the nearest one. If you prefer activities that’ll push your limits, try out the zipwires at Go Ape Matfen (25 minutes) or the sailing, windsurfing and open-water swimming organised by the sailing club at Derwent Reservoir (15 minutes). One big attraction around these parts is Beamish, the Living Museum of the North (40 minutes). Spread out across the countryside, its open-air exhibits re-tell the lives of local British people from the 1820s through to the 1950s. Of course, you don’t want to forget about Northumberland National Park (40 minutes) either, especially if you like hiking. The national park trails weave past hillforts, quarries, Hadrian’s Wall, hills and crags. Kielder Water (an hour) is one of the national park’s many spectacular spots, with trails heading into the forest or around the 26-mile shore. Stop by the osprey viewing point to try your luck, before sipping on a hot brew in the café.
