Woodpecker Pods

Gostou Wonderful location, really peaceful. We were lucky to have clear night skies and saw shooting stars, zero light pollution around. The fact you have your own shower and toilet is a big plus in the ablutions pod. There are plug sockets in the pods so you can bring a hairdryer, charge your phone etc..The lady who runs it is really friendly and makes you feel welcome. We'll be going back in the future as it's such a lovely place. Nice little park too for kids.

Gostou We have just left after a 2 night stay, myself and my daughter’s first time in a pod. It was amazing and we have loved every second.
20 mins from flamingo land which we visited 2 days, Our pod had everything we needed, with a pod next door with our own shower to use for our stay and seperate toilet.
The site was peaceful and very quiet, apart from the cockerel in the morning 🤣 which was actually quite nice to hear…. Morning has broken ☀️ There is a park area which my daughter played in, plenty of little villages nearby that we popped to for a mooch about.
We have loved our stay, the lady that owns it was lovely too, we will deffo come and stay again 😊

Gostou Really enjoyed our stay. It is a lovely quiet site, and well maintained.
The bathroom / shower room best I've had while glamping.
There is a well maintained kitchen area as well as benches / firepits at every pod.
We chose to have a bbq at the picnic bench which was set up for a disposable BBq but there is also a BBQ to use there.
Kids also loved the park

Gostou The location is excellent very relaxing and peaceful. Toilet/ showers are clean with plenty of hot water. Lovely play field so kids can play without parents being worried about them.

Gostou Informative comms prior to arrival. Check in was 2pm, we arrived later as we stopped of for a jolly on route. Lovely peaceful setting with great facilities. Set away from the main property, giving a secluded feeling. More than enough parking space available. The showers were brilliant and warm. Clean. Great area for kids to play safely and explore. Liked it so much that we invited our family down for a couple of days and ended up with all the pods. Big BBQ and individual fire pits, with the option of buying wood from the owner. Loved sitting of an evening, when the children were in bed. Lovely clear skies, when weather permitted.
Good cleaning facilities for dishes, after meals, with added fridge and microwave to use. Good location for exploring Yorkshire, as there is so much to do in and around the area. Owners were very friendly and checked in on us upon arrival and before departure. We accidently left an item behind which was promptly returned via post.
There was sightings of a little dog who visited one day, from next door but he was absolutely no trouble, very timid. Ran away if approached. He was quite cute and some of our party members hate dogs.

Não gostou The only things I disliked was the weather - could have been better... however this is out of the realms of our or anyone's control. And I could have taken some more pictures of the place to upload on here.

Gostou Quiet site with safe field for children to play

Não gostou Stray dogs running loose a white one nearly bit my 2 year old and was urinating around the pods, fridge smells like wet dog and microwave is full of old food splashes inside. Shower runs hot for about 3 minutes then is freezing cold for the rest of the day. Be prepared to be accused of things you Have Not done. Overpriced logs and bbq coal as very stingy with the amount they give you, also wouldn’t bother with the gas stove which is an extra £10 but lasts as many minutes. Carpets in cabins could do with a clean.

Do gerente: I have already banned these people from coming back.
Total lack of respect for other people's property. They ripped bark and soft wood from our tree trunks edging our car park. Please see my comments on cancellation booking page.
Never had anyone like this visit our site, we were devastated to see the damage when they left.
The dog was visiting next door - we spoke to our neighbour and they said they would sort it. We didn't know it came back - not sure how we are responsible for it?
Never had complaints about the shower?
As for theft - the big churn was last seen being used by their children full of water the day before they left - bearing in mind they were the only guests on our very small site we did assume they would know where it had gone?

Gostou This place is incredible! We stayed as 2 family's of 4 with children aged 4-8.
The pods are fantastic with so many amenities that we just did not expect to have.
The showers are great, good pressure and temperature. The toilets are perfect!
We had one toilet and one shower per family which is a real luxury whilst camping!
The place was very clean and tidy.
The space outside of the pods is perfect for the kids to run around, play football with the goal and our kids played for outs on the swing, climbing frame and slide.
Each pod has its own fire pit and the owners sell wood for £10 a bucket.
The bbq is huge and the owners sell coal for £6 a pack.
The owners were really friendly when they came over with wood etc and to greet us when we arrived. But they just left us to it whilst we were there which was great.
Cannot recommend this place enough and I'm already thinking about pur next trip back!

Não gostou The only thing to mention and this really isn't a dislike is to be careful with children on the top bunk.
On the first night my 8 year old slipped down the side as the gap is quite big between the mattress and the bed guard and unfortunately he got trapped. We moved the kids to the floor mattress after this which was much better for them.

Do gerente: We have added another guard rail to top bunks - so little ones cannot slip down anymore

Gostou Beautiful surroundings, quiet area, ideal place for young children to play with out the worry of road. Clean and tidy, lovely toilet and shower pod right next door. Great barbecue area.

Gostou We love it here we go every year there is a little park with plenty of space to run round right next to the pods so the kids can run around with pace on mind.
I also like that there is only 3 pods so its never over crowded.
