Gorgeous pods on a spankingly clean and blissfully peaceful little site near the North York Moors National Park: you wouldn't want to miss the setup at Woodpecker Pods. Based three miles from Kirkbymoorside, 15 minutes' drive from Helmsley and Pickering, and half an hour from both York and the Yorkshire coast, this friendly little park will have you sorted for warm welcomes and spectacular scenery, in an area full of outdoor activity spots for walking, cycling, mountain biking, horse riding and golf. Each pod sleeps up to four, and comes with outdoor furniture, a firepit, and a patio to sit on and sip wine under the stars. A big covered deck communal barbecue is also on site, for mingling and cooking with mates or other guests. Wifi is available, and each pod has a private shower and toilet allocated to it. Market towns and small villages with shops, bars, restaurants and supermarkets are within a short drive.

Syntes om Such a pretty site! Cute, cosy pods with clean and well kept facilities. Great with it being only 10min drive to Helmsley. Would be great to go back with friend. And there is a lovely field that’s well kitted out for children to play in good sight.

Syntes om Clean, warm sleeping area with a kettle and mugs provided. The shower and tier area was spotless with soap, toilet roll and hand towel provided. BBQ area was a bonus. The kids loved the play area.

Syntes ikke om The only thing missing was a small freezer section in the fridge to allow for ice packs to be frozen but it wasn’t a huge problem.

Syntes om A beautiful setting in the heart of the countryside. The pods, toilets and showers are lovely and clean, and the other facilities available such as the fire-pit, seating and kitchen are equally fantastic. The garden area with play equipment and football net were our children’s favourites too. What we loved the most is how quiet and peaceful the site was and how welcoming and helpful the owners were too. We will be definitely back as soon as we can we loved Woodpecker Pods!

Syntes om My daughter and her friends stayed for a quite 18th birthday trip…it’s a beautiful little site, they spent their time painting the beautiful flowers, roasting marshmallows and the owner kindly dropped them in the nearby town for the afternoon to walk around the shops, and also provided them with towels that all 3 girls managed to forget! Really lovely place, for those looking for a quiet spot.

Syntes om Absolutely everything! The scenery, the peace and quiet, the well equipped Pods, the super friendly host and the overall comfort of our stay. The pods are in a perfect location. We even had a fan sat in the pod waiting for us, with the weather been so warm. It was perfect!

Syntes om We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend this place. The welcome was incredibly warm, and the hospitality was exceptional from start to finish. The hosts were fantastic at accommodating our every need. All amenities were spotlessly clean. We were lucky enough to have the entire site to ourselves, making the peaceful surroundings even more enjoyable. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Syntes om Lovely quiet site with fantastic toilet and shower block. Loved having one just for our use. We had the place to ourselves the first night and then had lovely neighbours for the rest of the stay. Play park was brilliant and the host was lovely and really welcoming. Fire pits were a huge bonus!

The site is close to the splendidly scenic North York Moors National Park for walks, bike rides and essential picnics, with more of the same available at Dalby Forest about half an hour away. Close to home for towns and shopping, the market town of Kirkbymoorside is three miles away and two more market towns in Helmsley and Pickering within 15 minutes' drive, both with castles that are well worth a look. Half an hour away is the North Yorkshire coast around Robin Hood's Bay, Whitby and Ravenscar, and the fab old city of York, with famed minster, excellent views over the city at Clifford's Tower, and Yorkshire Museum, with regular exhibitions and permanent displays of local finds from Roman and Viking times onwards. Other local attractions include Castle Howard, Nunnington Hall, Rievaulx Abbey, Flamingo Land, Ryedale Folk Museum, the National Centre for Birds of Prey at the Duncombe Park estate in Helmsley, the Sutton Bank National Park Centre at Thirsk, World War II sights, sounds and smells at Malton's Eden Camp, Scarborough SEA LIFE Sanctuary and loads more: ask the team for tips, or drive off in any direction to see where you end up.
