Old Waterworks Boutique Glamping

Gostou Absolutely loved everything about this site. It was the first time camping for me with my autistic 14yr old daughter and it was a huge success due to how fantastic this site is. It was quiet, it was surrounded by fields and woods and cows which my daughter absolutely loved. The owners live on site and couldn't have been more helpful and welcoming. The owners Mum was so sweet to us too. I loved having a fridge in the tent as well as the fantastic beds and sofa. The communal kitchen had everything we needed. And it was so thoughtful to provide towels for the shower as well. We definitely plan on going back. My daughter wants it to be the same week and month next year but I'm hoping we can go before then, maybe for my birthday as it was so nice to relax the way I did there it would be a lovely treat to relax like that again. Really can't score this site any higher.

Gostou Love the quiet location and great friendly hosts. Short walk to shops and town. Clare is a lovely little town to explore.

Gostou Everything was fantastic, better than we thought and we had high hopes to begin with.

The hosts, Ben and Netty were very helpful and accommodating.

The tent was perfect and had plenty of space inside and out.

The pit area was great and a nice surprise, our daughter loved playing down there.

The location was great, easy to find and in a beautiful village. The site itself was very quiet, peaceful.

All in all, really happy.

Gostou Really friendly hosts who even provided cricket and a new game they taught us which was viking chess, they even played a round with us. The tent was really clean as was the bathroom. It was a lovely few days. The last night Nettie gave us some Marshmallows and sticks to toast which we were really grateful for.

Não gostou Maybe the road you have to drive down to get to the accommodation but that's not their fault. It was just a little narrow

Gostou Very very nice owner, lovely and quiet spot, lovely clamping tents has everything you need, bed was comfortable.

The toilets are really nice.

Would recommend to anyone wanting to get away.

Gostou We loved the campsite. It was a great place to stay with friends. The owners were very friendly and helpful on arrival. The tents were lovely.

Não gostou The downsides were that the owners and their friends were smoking a lot of weed and making a lot of noise in the communal kitchen which was loud when our children were trying to get to sleep.It was not ideal as there were many young children there. The owners and their friends were gathering near the toilets when our children were coming out of them which was a bit strange and chatted very loudly in the kitchen and socialised there until the early hours.Also we could hear a couple of them (the owners friends?) having a huge argument at 1am in the morning which woke us up and we had to ask them to be quiet (pretty loudly as they were screaming at each other) so this made it not hugely family friendly and would sadly not return because of this because of the noise and excessive weed smell.

Do gerente: Thank you for your candid feedback.
We can only apologise for any noise which disturbed you, it would seem some of our guests were a bit boisterous after having been to the "Clare Party in the Park", which is a yearly festival.
It was pouring with rain on the Saturday evening, and we were sitting in the kitchen to take shelter. The kitchen is not positioned near the tents, so as to minimise disturbance, and I do not recall lots of shouting or speaking really loudly, we were playing some music on a speaker at a reasonable level.
There were other guests which were staying with children that night and we received 5* reviews on Airbnb from them, so either they didn't hear the noise or it wasn't disturbing them. Our storage barn is opposite the toilets and we were also taking shelter at the front of it out of the rain.
Neither of us smoke so we do not agree with the comment "the owners were smoking weed".
I did hear some one scream "shut up" around 1 am, which woke me up, but nothing more.
We are aiming to be a family friendly site, as you can read from most of our previous reviews. The issues which seemed to occur that night, were a one off, and we are ensuring nothing like this happens in the future as far as we can.
We try to go the extra mile for our guests if we can, and we feel we did on this occasion by charging their electric Car overnight for 2 nights rather than them having to go to a garage with children and wait to charge.
