Anglers and adventurers, get ready, because Fendicks Fishery is a stunning Norfolk site with five well-stocked fishing lakes and a mature woodland, just half an hour’s drive from Thetford Forest. Out there, there’s plenty of adventuring to be done, with High Lodge and its Go Ape centre as a good starting point. There's a well-balanced atmosphere at this site, as the team have worked hard over the years to manage and landscape the grounds so that there’s a good combination of nature and fishing. Anglers have access to five lakes with a variety of fish up for grabs, including catfish (weighing in at over 95 lbs), carp, tench, silverfish and more. With 32 acres of mature woodland surrounding the lake, peaceful and scenic are two words that accurately Fendicks Fishery. Plus, there’s a splendid set-up in terms of facilities, with a toilet and shower block that’s kept toasty by underfloor heating, a washing-up area, washing machines, information room, Elsan points and the reception area. All the grassy pitches have access to electric hook-up (how handy). When you’re not unwinding around the acres of space around this well-kept site or spending an afternoon fishing, you could take off onto the miles of paths around Thetford Forest or head further out onto the Norfolk coast, which will take you around an hour’s drive or just over.

Gostou Fabulous campsite, great amenities including VERY CLEAN shower and toilets. Camping pitches were very big with room for parking. Pitches were level

Campsite is well maintained and the staff were super friendly.
Restaurant and bar on site were very nice and extremely well priced (£4.30 for a pint)

Hubby and son loved the fishing and caught some great carp

Não gostou Not a lot to dislike…. Electric had to purchased when we were there (card slotted into meter at pitch)…. Although we only spent £2 all weekend so was refunded the difference

Even though we didn’t catch anything, we still had a lovely weekend.

Gostou We have stayed in fendicks 4 times since purchasing our tourer caravan and have tried other sites but our heart will always be at fendicks.. everytime we stay we have a brilliant time fishing, spending time with family, I love that Fendick’s offer a family toilet and shower as makes it easier with my 6 month old baby 💜 lisa and staff are really friendly and accommodating and nothing is ever to much, if you haven’t stayed before don’t hesitate as the site is beautiful and if your a lover of fishing then this is the place for you x we always pitch on lake 5 so can’t comment on others but the grounds are beautiful 😍

Gostou Toilet/shower blocks were always clean. Pitches weren't squashed in. On-site cafe was a bonus. Staff very helpful.

Não gostou Wish there were electric points in the toilet block to plug in a hairdryer. Shame about the noise from the main road running down the side of the site.

We had a pleasant stay. The staff were ever so friendly and helpful.

Gostou Extremely peaceful and beautiful setting. Toilets were spotless and there was plenty of room between each pitch for privacy. Great bar for food and drinks and the breakfast was fantastic. Primarily a fishery so a very peaceful place to camp

Gostou Great site, Lisa was very friendly and welcoming, made us aware that we had to pay for electricity on a pre-paid card meter, but if you don’t use it all then you can get a refund for amount not used. The site is well maintained, toilets and shower facilities are very clean. We have twin axle caravan, and plenty of room on the site to park it. The pub/ club onsite was good, and the food looked delicious
Ideal place to go if you fish, as it has x5 lakes. We’re not fisher people, but went for peace and quiet, Friday and Saturday was busy, but after Sunday lunch/evening was lovely and quiet. .
Would definitely recommend, and also go back.

Gostou Lovely site, very friendly, great to have places to walk the dog from the site and also be able to take the dog in the bar.
Showers and toilets lovely and clean.

Não gostou Nothing was an issue at all.
Be good to have reserve sign placed on if pitches already booked, but is very minor detail.

Atrações locais

Head to High Lodge (half an hour’s drive) to kickstart your tour of Thetford Forest. There are all sorts of ways to become one with the forest, from hiring out a Segway, taking an archery lesson or finding your zen with forest yoga. Go Ape Thetford (half an hour) will require a little bravery and some acrobatic skills for its treetop courses and zipwires, but on the ground, there are three cycling trails and four footpaths to follow from High Lodge. If you’re looking to find some places where the kids are likely to be entertained, Banham Zoo (35 minutes) is one such place, as are Melsop Farm Park (35 minutes) and Church Farm Stow Bardolph (15 minutes), two farm parks with a variety of animals and farm-style activities. A day at the coast is also possible from this site… just pick your seafront of choice. Perhaps Hunstanton (55 minutes) and Cromer (an hour and 20 minutes) to the north, or Great Yarmouth (an hour and 10 minutes) to the east? Towards the coast is Bressingham Steam & Gardens (40 minutes), a nice choice to see working steam locomotives in the flesh.
