Weston Pools Village

Gostou great fishing , well maintained lakes , easy access to the lakes , fish in great condition , well stocked tackle shop , great club house , food although limited menu was plenty full and well cooked at a reasonable price . accommodation was clean and tidy with plenty of room , finally the staff were friendly and helpful . if you like your fishing weston pools have got it spot on .

Gostou Accommodation, was ok having stayed at Weston before, I tried the log cabin this time around, myself i prefer the caravans, everyone on site were helpful as usual, good stay.

Good fishing well stocked lakes

Não gostou The accomidation had no outside table and chairs to sit on yet it had a decked area leading off patio doors
No bins by accomidation long walk to shop area to get rid of rubbish.
Booked site for family fishing holiday with grandchildren and sons as it was advertised as a great place to fish but most of the 6 lakes were closed each day to competitions
Last day 5 of the 6 lakes closed.

we are in the height of summer season the pools were not closed but fully booked, as you can appreciate we are a very popular fishery and people from all over the country visit, if you had gone onto the website it does tell you on our diary what's available and when.
on a weekend we always have jacks pool if not another pool for pleasure anglers all the pools give a good fishing experience.

we do have an allocated recycling area for rubbish.

I understand we had an issue with the table and chairs and this has been rectified.

Gostou Excellent fishing lakes. Indian restaurant on site was amazing from the service the food and the price. Georg on the bar, reception and shop was really helpful along with Debbie

Não gostou We went for the fishing so as long as we were comfy for the few days the caravan was ideal but it was tired. Outside balcony needed a clean and the Chairs were broken
We booked for 4 days. We couldn’t get in til 2 and had to leave at 10?? Where’s the 4 days??

Não gostou Child’s bed wasn’t the best 15 year struggled to sleep due to dip in the middle of bed.
Fridge needs updating.
Over priced for accommodation .

Gostou Log cabin was really good, well cleaned and had everything we needed. Club house was really good with a good breakfast,evening meals and a good selection of drafts and bottled beers/ciders, . tackle shop was well stocked and the lakes were pristine every fish caught was fin perfect

Gostou We liked the location and the facilities of the toilet block, very clean

Não gostou Very very basic, not even a hook to hang your coat or wet towel after showering.
Only 1 chair at the dinner table, no blind/curtain on the window.
Very dark, no light unless doors open.

Gostou The bed was pretty comfy

Não gostou When we got there, they said they didn’t know we were coming to stay that night even though we’d had the confirmation email 5 wks earlier. They had told someone else that they could stay in the pod we were staying at. They cancelled that person so we could stay but made it seem like it was our fault and was such a massive effort to put right.
The pod was meant to have a double bed and a single, a sofa, fridge, kettle, 2 chairs and a table and a picnic table and chairs.
There was a double bed only, 1 chair inside, a fridge and kettle. There was no single bed, no sofa, no table. The kettle was on top of a tiny fridge so to use it you had to crouch down, had to make drinks on the floor because there was no table. There was a table and 1 chair outside but we couldn’t get the table through the door. There was the tv but it was in the room with only 1 chair, and you couldn’t watch it from the bedroom. There’s no taps in the pod and we wasn’t told where we could get water for the kettle, had to ask people staying in a caravan.
Seriously disappointed with our stay, we will not be going back. No where near worth the £98 per night. Also the pod was full of cobwebs.

Gostou Really well organised check-in procedure - we arrived just after the shop closed but our key was at the bar in the club house. The lady behind the bar gave us a mobile number in case we had any issues (which thankfully we didn't).

The caravan was absolutely immaculate and had everything we needed.

The check-out process was great too - the lady in the shop was really helpful.

Não gostou We were in Highdown 3 but the wi-fi did not seem to reach that far which was a shame. Our mobile signal was ok though so it wasn't a problem.

Gostou we loved ever minute of our stay it was so peaceful and beautiful the caravan was spotless we wish we could of stayed longer we will definitely be returning thank you so much
