Crofts Barn

Gostou Fantastic sized private pitch (the Dingles), bounded by hedgerow that some thought has gone into. A minor detail to some but it's full of variation and thoughtful planting. The whole site seems thought out similarly, little details that really add up. Lovely peaceful site, no noise at all. Great for dog owners as there's a lovely little walk with direct access from the site. It's teeming with wildlife, we saw Muntjac, a Stag and his Doe and a fox on our evening walk.

Electric within 5m and water on the pitch. Toilets were 50 yards away and spotlessly clean as was the potwash area.


We'd recommend this to friends, a very relaxing stay. Check in and out was flawless and easy via WhatsApp, owner met us and showed us where everything was, very informative and helpful.

Gostou The site is very well maintained, owner is very helpful , all amenities spotless and the view was fantastic
WiFi worked well although we must have been at the furthest point from the signal which was a great help

Gostou Great peaceful location, nice walk through wood on site. Spotted deer in the woods and heard owls. Showers and toilets very clean. Friendly owner greeted us in person and lit the fire pit for us which was lovely.

Gostou What a gorgeous site the view the setting the facilities. Stephanie came out to welcome me. Having their woods to walk through to get to the main footpaths was so lovely with the dog.

Gostou Quiet, beautiful views, clean and pleasant facilities. The owners are really friendly and helpful and both nights I was there they set up the fire pit and either lit it for us (night 1) or allowed us to light it when we were ready (night 2). Will definitely go again

Gostou Really clean toilets and shower and a nice view. We enjoyed seeing the horse and goats in the next field too. Welcoming host and a simple and easy check in and out process. Quiet campsite and a good location for a day out.

Gostou Lovely site and great owner, very hospitable and responsive. Good area to explore and lots to do.

Não gostou Only 2 toilets for the whole site that have showers in them too so if you're desperate for the loo and both cubicles in use.....Could do with a couple of individual toilets.

Gostou Well located and beautiful scenery. 2 very new toilets/showers, and some very cute goats live on site.
Good security provided by an electric gate at the entrance.

Não gostou We arrived at 8:30pm and were subject to a £10 late check-in fee. We completely understand this in scenarios when there is a person waiting on site and their wage needs paying; however, the check-in was remote and all we needed to do was text to say we had arrived, so I think this was quite unjustified. It is the first time we have encountered this and we stay on campsites most weekends, and comes on top of it being one of the most expensive sites we have stayed on.
One of the two toilets had no soap in it for the 3 night duration of our stay

While the check-in was remote, we pride ourselves on our customer service, and we do try to personally meet guests when possible to welcome them, point out facilities, and share local recommendations. The late check-in fee was applied as I needed to follow up at 8pm without prior confirmation of your late arrival — it’s discretionary and used when additional co-ordination is required after our last checkin at 19.00 hrs. As we live on site I was unable to finish work until my last guest had checked in. The toilet soap dispenser was found to be faulty but did contain soap — I would have rectified this immediately had I been informed. Also, as your stay was a buisness expense, price comparisons with leisure sites may not be directly relevant.
