The Old Vicarage

Gostou Loved the cabin its self, was a lovely set up for how small it was it didnt lack facilities or space for us all, owner was lovely when we saw her out in the garden.
The stream is stunning and the swings, zip wires and little extras all around was excellent for the kids!
Atmosphere relaxing and breathtaking.
I brought my baby monitor but they even provided one of them which I was very surprised about, you can tell this is a family run business because they think about what families need.

We are already looking at booking again for September so we will see you then!

Não gostou Only downfall was the shower, if there was people in the showers for the outside campers then the hot water for the cabin wouldn’t work, they came over to fix it and was lovely about it but then we figured out I had to wait till the outside campers finished, unfortunately with a baby it meant his bed time went well late and hes cranky when he doesn’t get his wash and bed ahah!
The noise from the toilet/shower area for the outside campers is right next to the bedroom window, unfortunately noise continued till 1am and this was when there was only 2 other families camping so I was surprised how noises it was but understand the family couldn’t monitor it all as they were probably asleep at that time and it was just young teenagers a little bit tipsy ahha

Gostou Been here 3 times now and absolutely love the site and the stream. My daughter spent the best part of 2 days on the tree swing!

Não gostou The toilets and showers need to be better bit in all fairness the kids that were staying there broke the pump which cost the owners alot of money

Gostou I really enjoyed my stay and the old vicarage and there is loads to do for the kids. The owner was very nice and very welcoming we liked it that much and we booked to go again in September

Não gostou The facilities unfortunately let this site down greatly. The toilets and showers blocks were not cleaned at all and were nothing short of disgusting and unsanitary. We did tell the owner but nothing changed. The shower holder just fell off the minute you moved it. Toilet roll all over the floor. Toilets covered in faeces. No space in either the toilets or showers.

On arrival the pitches aren't marked out so its a guessing game as to where to pitch your tent however if you have a short electric hook up you would be screwed as they arent placed next to your tent always.

The ground is also very uneven so expect your tent to be in a dip or on a mound.

The washing up shack only has 1 sink so you often had to queue to wash up. Then its pot luck if you get hot water.

To say this place is a wedding venue is shocking. Im not sure how anyone could be happy with the facilities for their guests!

Also the electric is only low voltage. Something you dont find out until you get here as there is no pre welcome email sent with check in details and FAQ.
The first night the electric went off on the whole campsite on a few occasions. When asking a staff member we were informed that it must be someone on sites fault for having a household appliance but surely the pitches electric hook up would trip not the whole campsite?! Not ideal when younare trying to cook and have people in your group that has a CPAP machine for sleeping therefore electric is essential!

Gostou Absolutely beautiful campsite. The host was ready and waiting with all the information.. Facilities were clean and looked after. Pitches sizes perfect. No issues with electric hookups. There's WiFi. Lidl a 15 min drive away. Some cute little Saturday bonuses for kids but I won't spoil the surprises. The little stream is perfect. Loved ever second of this stay. Tip. Arrive that bit earlier for a stream side pitch if that's what you're going for and take some inflatables 💕

Não gostou Nothing from the site. Some really disrespectful kids though leaving rubbish in toilets. Blocking toilets with pebbles & toilet roll all over the toilet floors.

Gostou Beautiful Scenic stay with unique stream running through the site. Wonderful place to relax and unwind. Family friendly and dog friendly. Callie loved her first swim & is now a water dog. Lovely bar and sheltered seating area. Hosted activities. Shower and toilet block. A wonderful campsite, feels homely & safe. We enjoyed laying back and looking at the stars. Great location, great company and would definitely visit again.

Não gostou Noisy neighbours. The toilet facilities would benefit from checking more often, one of the toilet seats was broken
