The Old Vicarage

Mi è piaciuto We had a lovely stay at the old Vicarage, we have camped several times there but this time stayed in the cabin, we arrived a little early and the cabin was not ready, but we were made to feel very welcome and to get a drink in the lovely cave bar. Once the cabin was ready we were told we could check in even though it was still earlier than the time stated. We found it lovely and clean everything you needed was there and such a lovely place to stay. All staff were absolutely brilliant throughout our stay. Several activities throughout the weekend involving all adults and children, and kids just love playing on the rope swings and in the water.

Non mi è piaciuto No dislikes, the only things I would possibly recommend is to have some lights on the bridge for on a night time when it gets really dark, and would be lovely if some how a little cafe/coffee place to go and sit in the morning/afternoon. Definitely will be back.

We’re sorry you were disappointed by the wedding tent. Unfortunately, with the amount of rain we experienced, the canvas began to dip under the weight of the water. We completely appreciate that this wasn’t ideal and, of course, we did everything we could to manage the situation and keep the area safe.

Thank you also for your feedback regarding the toilet blocks. We really appreciate constructive comments like this and will certainly take it on board as we continue to improve the site.

Mi è piaciuto Such a lovely place to visit with children! The kids can really be themselves and feel free. There are lots of activities and toys for them to enjoy. The swimming area is also perfect for children — it’s very well designed for them and isn’t deep, so they can swim and play safely.

Non mi è piaciuto The only downside is that there are very few toilets, and unfortunately, they weren’t very clean.

Mi è piaciuto The grounds are beautiful! we met a few of the family members that run the site, they were all friendly and helpful including the owner who was so helpful and also found a little bike for my daughter to borrow.
Having the option for a late check out so we could enjoy our last day was also a bonus
We will definitely return!

It was cleaned and looked after, it’s fine for a couple of nights camping.
If the toilet block was upgraded id definitely stay for more than 2 nights.

Non mi è piaciuto Parents not watching there kids. Resulting in one boy throwing a rock with such force at my daughter. We ended up at hospital with a broken arm.
The facilities so much potential to be nicer.

Mi è piaciuto Everything you need for the perfect relaxing time at the most beautiful place.

Staff are so helpful and really friendly with my kids. I’ve been 3 times now and get gets better each time we visit.
