Banish any visions of a stressy holiday stuck in hot cars and slow traffic out of your head… At North Shore Holiday Centre, a family-friendly Lincolnshire site 10 minutes’ walk from the centre of Skegness, you won’t have to travel far to stay busy once you arrive. North Shore is on the outskirts of Skegness, and there’s plenty of seaside resorty things to do within easy reach of the site: the sandy beach, pier and town centre are all within walking distance, and you’ll have to drive for less than 15 minutes to get to the museum, nature reserve, aquarium or theme park. There’s tons to keep you busy on site too: play a round of miniature golf, perfect your end-game at the nine-hole pitch and putt, have a go at bowls or boules, try out the arcade games and go game-set-match on the tennis courts. Feeling peckish? There are oodles of eateries within 25 minutes’ walk of North Shore, or you can settle in for a meal on site – call in to the fully-licensed bar-restaurant, then stick around for the evening’s entertainment.

Gostou Easy check in, the facilities were great, everything close.

Não gostou Reception was late opening on check out, was unable to get my deposit back, however the lady waiting took my details and assured me I would receive a bank transfer which I’m yet to receive. Would be nice if they kept me informed about this

Gostou Easy booking process and check in on arrival.
Lovely clean site with great facilities. Friendly staff. Did self catering but the food in the pub on site looked lovely and was busy.
Definitely recommend and will return as the location is great for Skegness beach.

Gostou Lovely clean site, very well laid out, brilliant stock and reasonably priced shop, didn’t try the bar as was very busy and loud for younger children.
Addition of fenced dog area was great, would be brilliant to see some doggy obstacles or climbing equipment to keep them busy.

Não gostou The main children’s playground (not the pub one) was large but lacking any equipment, there was plenty space to add a swing or additional items, the main pub park was always very busy due to its location.

Gostou The site is pretty well maintained. The all service pitches are generously sized. We don’t use the showers so cannot comment on this area. The slots are for small children really and it’s small for the size of the site. The bar was very busy with heavy loud music blasting out, we found it uncomfortable and left. I suppose you can’t please everyone. It was nice to see kids playing on the grassed areas, something that some sites have sadly lost by cramming statics on. Shop is well stocked but pricey.

Não gostou I was disturbed to notice a few touring families leave their dogs in their vans when they went out for the day. One van in particular left their dog for far too long. It showed clear signs of distress when they finally arrived back at the van. Lots of barking dogs. Site management could do with assessing the problem and stop it to avoid any deaths during the hot summer months. It’s inevitable that there will be a dog dying in the sweltering vans

Gostou Good size level pitch which included electric toilet/shower block was clean, plenty of loos and showers. Showers had lots of hot water.
Good location, 10 minutes into Skegness.
Would stay here again if in the area.

Kids will want to dive into the aquarium, the fairground and the brightly lit amusements of the pleasure pier, while grownups might have more appreciation for the Naturelands seal sanctuary or The Village, Church Farm open-air museum. Want something for everyone? The entire family should be entertained with trips to Fantasy Island theme park (in nearby Ingoldmells), the Lincolnshire Coast Light Railway and the stock car and bangers racing at Skegness Raceway, all within 10 minutes of the site. When you want to take your adventuring beyond the bounds of the seaside town, you can find peace 15 minutes away from the thrill rides and squealing tyres with visits to Gibraltar Point Nature Reserve or the flat Lincolnshire Wolds for cycling and walking trails, or by making a pitstop at the spectacular Gunby Hall and Gardens for a taste of splendour. For a quirkier outing, make your way a little further afield for a night at the Kinema in the Woods, believed to be the only full-time cinema in the UK still using rear projection for screenings.
