An intimate, dog-friendly spot on the outskirts of Leominster (five minutes’ drive or a 25-minute walk), Hen House Hideaway is full of home comforts. Take in the views across the Herefordshire countryside from the large decking area (designed for dining and entertaining) or retire to the cosy interior for the night. With a kingsize bed and TV in the main bedroom, plus a single bed and double sofa bed in the ‘nest box’, this is a great place for a small gathering of four to five people or a family escape to the country. The design is based on a hen house, though – of course – it’s a much larger version with a bathroom (including a shower), utility room and kitchen. The kitchen has a gas oven, Belfast sink, microwave, fridge, kettle, toaster and crockery, so you’ll be well equipped whether you’re craving tea and toast or a full-on cooked breakfast. In the market town of Leominster you can pick up artisan eats or extra supplies. The town also has a leisure centre with a swimming pool, fitness suite and soft-play area. If you’re after more entertainment, Grove Golf & Bowl (10 minutes’ drive) has an 18-hole golf course, miniature golf, driving range and ten-pin bowling. Oaker Wood (15 minutes) is another activity centre with clay pigeon shooting, quad biking and paintball. Topping up your energy stores will be easy with a visit to the Monkland Cheese Dairy (five minutes), a working dairy farm with a tearoom.

Gostou We loved it here, what a lovely stay! Out of the way and so peaceful, it was lovely and clean on arrival, hot tub was ready and the little welcome pack was a nice thought (we LOVED the lemon cake). The directions were easy to follow to find the place too. We would definitely return to this cute little find.

Gostou Location, vibe, facilities. Great welcome pack which was much appreciated.

Não gostou We didn't dislike anything. It would have helped to have a freezer box on top of the fridge - but the host kindly put our blocks in his freezer for our journey home.

Gostou Everything you can think of is there down to a dogs bowl, everything worked, shower was awesome, spotless clean and looked after. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, lovely location, beautiful views, the welcome hamper was amazing, the lemon cake was devine 👌 thank you, it was eggcellent.

Gostou We have just returned from a fantastic weekend stay at the hen house hide away. The hotub whuch was ready and warm on arrival was amazing to sit in to watch the sun set. Peacful and tranquil and owners respec our privacy durung the stay. The hideaway was spotless and decorated tastfully with the theme continuing throughout.The welcome hamper was a really lovely touch with a homemade lemon drizzle to die for !! Our only dislike was that we had to come home after such a lovely stay.

Gostou Remote location, supermarket and pub nearby. Great for dogs. Hot tub with amazing scenery. Comfortable and clean beds. Lovely welcome hamper including honey, eggs, crisps and a cider! Hosts respect privacy.
