My my, now this is something extra special… Flock to the 540 acres of Warren Farm, a scenic site set at the top of the National Trust’s Brockhampton Estate, for hols in a Herefordshire hideout with jaw-dropping views. From the highest point on a clear day, you can see up to eight counties, but before you settle down to spend time peering at the scenery, enter the archway into the farmhouse courtyard and pitch your tent on a peaceful field that’s part of an old drover’s route. The sheep graze here in winter, so the grass in the meadow is kept low enough for you to stay comfortably under the beech trees during the warmer seasons. As night falls in this placid place – after supper and a sip of ale at the local pub – stare at the sky and admire the stars. If you’re an early riser, it’s worth waking up in time to catch the sunrise across the spectacular landscape too. During the day, it’s all about exploring the many tracks at the adjacent Bromyard Downs, Bringsty Common and, of course, the moated Brockhampton Estate. Into mountain biking? The surrounding paths are a little extreme but fab for folk fit enough to tackle them. If you’re a dab hand at riding, try the hilly 26-mile route from Knightwick (five miles) to Storridge along lesser-used lanes through the Suckley Hills. It includes three prolonged climbs, so it’s a bit of a workout (but the six pubs enroute might just make all that exercise worthwhile…). A secure building is on hand at the farm to store your bike overnight.

Gostou Great location for exploring Bromyard. Spaceous pitches that are nice and flat. The campsite and area are peaceful, there are plenty of lovely walks nearby and a couple of local pubs. The owner James is really friendly and helpful. He was there to greet us on arrival and had provided a map so we could walk safely to the pub on Bringsty Common instead of trying to do an unsafe walk along the A44. He went above and beyond to help us which was appreciated.

Não gostou No Elsan point. We would have used the loo in our motorhome to save other people having to queue if there was chemical disposal available. This may also have meant that loo roll didn't run out. To be fair it doesn't say in the site description that there is elsan available - I will check properly in future. I'm just so used to it being available I didn't think.

Gostou Loved the location and scenery, Incredible views and walks close by. Fraser was a lovely guy and really helpful. Toilets were clean and the shower was hot! Even had great 4g signal.

Não gostou Could do with another toilet & shower unit but it wasn't a huge issue at all.

Gostou Everything!

A lovely warm welcome from Fraser pointing out bits and pieces.
The pitches are the best I’ve been on, I love the secluded feel, being in the middle of nature and the views are incredible.

This was my first solo camping trip and felt totally safe, a range of ages were there when I stayed and no issues at all.

Special treats were seeing the bats swooping around, buzzards in the nearby trees, owls having a ‘chat’ at night, hearing the deer calling and waking up to two Pygmy shrews in my tent 😊 oh and the sunsets!!

Went for a 7 mile walk following AllTrails parked down the hill by the school not realising the walk passed through the campsite…oops! Was a welcome suprise, needed more fluids with the heat.

Note - take a bowl for washing up, there’s no plug for the sink and it will help save water.

Gostou Absolutely loved this site. Felt so welcome from even before we got there. Fraser welcomed us on arrival, a simple ‘hello, this is where everything is’ from the owners makes you so much more comfortable. The pitches are a really good size and so private and the views are amazing. You are surrounded by nature and can barely hear the road at all. We spent one evening watching a little shrew catch a fly, so sweet! We enjoyed watching the baby goats in their field too.

We visited the Royal Oak pub up the road for some food and this was great too, even got to enjoy live music.

Não gostou Not really dislike but the only thing I’d like is it could do with a shelf in the toilet just to put a toothbrush or wash bag but apart from that everything was perfect.

Gostou Couldn’t fault this campsite. Really beautiful setting. Pitches are cleverly separated by long grass. Great views. Wifi was good. We really liked it.

Gostou Absolutely as described. Beautiful setting and peaceful site - spacious and private pitches for tents, nice to be away from the car and there are plenty of wheelbarrows for moving things to your pitch. Washrooms clean and functional - shower lovely and hot.

Take a trip to the Little Pomona tasting room and cidery (10 minutes’ drive), head to The Hop Shed Brewery & Tap Room (15 minutes), or check out the spirits at the Chase Distillery (20 minutes). Astley Vineyards (half an hour), set in a secluded wildlife haven, is also worth a venture for its award-winning white wines. For other unusual days out, crack on towards a craft centre with more than 20 independent shops, a garden and antique complex, or a vintage furniture emporium, all less than five miles from the site.
