West End Farm Campsite

Gostou Very quiet and peaceful. Heard owls and saw long tailed tits and squirrels. Only one other on site. Nice walk down to the river. Did not use amenities but they looked fine.

Gostou Very quiet and peaceful place. Pub quick easy walk away. Other walks around. Hard standing Pitch nice and level and tidy.

Não gostou No lights/ lights not working near toilet block so walking over in pitch black at night.
Toilets not very clean in the sense that the cubicles were full of grass and quite run down. Considering only 2 others on the site while we were thought they would be cleaner

Gostou Weather was great, so good area for walking

Não gostou We have visited this site several times now. Please cut the grass properly, and get rid of the cuttings. The washing up facility, toilets and showers are very basic and full of grass, someone had swept a load of it up into a pile in the shower, but it wasn't cleared up the whole weekend we were there, it makes everything soaking wet and a mess, lots of people commented about it, and where was the cleaner? On the plus side, The Red Lion in the village is a lovely pub for food and drinks

Gostou You get a good size pitch between little hedges which is nice.

Não gostou The grass hadn't been cut for a while, then he came after we had set up. The showers were full of grass as were our cars and tents.
The bins in the washing up area were overflowing and by the end of the weekend so were the wheelie bins.

Gostou Nice quiet site, facilities were good and clean.

Não gostou It’s not necessarily a bad thing but I didn’t see an official from the site in my time there. Granted I was only there for one night but you usually have an interaction with someone on most sites. Maybe it was the time of year also. But there was quite a lot of rubbish lying around some pitches which was sad to see. The bin was overflowing so I guess that is why. One this is that there does not seem to be a gate or barrier to seal the site at night. But as it is in such a secluded place it probably doesn’t need it.

Gostou Amazing location, close to a farm cafe (great breakfast) and pub. Lovely loop walk from ths site. Facilities are good.
