Gostou This is a lovely campsite, with a peaceful vibe and expansive views. It's perfect for families as the toilet and shower block is central so it's only a 1 minute walk from any of the cabins or pods. We stayed in a camping cabin and it was very spacious inside and quite different from the usual arch-shaped pods. It looks like a mini wooden house from a fairy tale! We had plenty of room for the 2 of us, my daughter and our dog. The cabin has a double bed with a proper mattress, and then 2 benches with fold-down single beds which has cushion pads on them, but I'd recommend bringing an inflatable mattress for extra comfort. My 5-year old slept really well on the inflatable and there was space for the dog's bed next to that too.
We hired a fire-pit which came with logs and kindling - £15.My daughter also loved the fact that the washing-up room has a freezer filled with ice creams, which you can pay for using a QR code or honesty box (£1.50 per ice cream). We didn't want to leave, so extended our stay, which was easy to do - luckily they had some availability.
We would certainly recommend this site!

Gostou Lovely site and Laura was really helpful on arrival explaining everything. The accommodation and all facilities were spotless and there are fantastic views from the pods. The use of a communal freezer is also handy. Definitely recommended and would certainly return.

Gostou We had a fantastic stay, 5 stars! Nestled in a beautiful woodland at the foot of the Peak District, yet still within easy reach of Chesterfield, it’s the perfect location for families who want a mix of nature and convenience.

The retreat is run by the lovely Laura, who provided all the information we needed about both the campsite and the surrounding area. We truly felt at home here for the weekend. It’s a great balance between a “back to nature” experience and having the comforts of nearby amenities.

There are plenty of smaller, manageable walking trails nearby, perfect for little legs, as well as a children’s farm and local shops within easy reach. The site itself has excellent facilities, including good WiFi, clean bathrooms, and kitchen areas. It’s also the best night-lit campsite we’ve stayed at, which made evenings feel safe and comfortable.

Overall, our stay was perfect and we highly recommend it!

Gostou The huts were really spacious with awesome views. The facilities were spot on and the staff were brilliant. The notice boards have all the local information and walk routes that you ask for. For the price this is hard to beat.

Gostou Such a great site. Facilities were clean. Sunrise views in the morning were amazing. Great location to visit the Peak District. Really couldnt fault it.
