Camping Baia Unci Lipari

Camping Baia Unci Lipari is a seafront site, with a sandy beach 200 metres away where you can hire canoes, pedalos, small sailing boats and windsurfing equipment. Away from the beach, the walking and cycling trails around the island's coastline can be explored on your own or on guided trips. Elsewhere, Lipari is the biggest of the Aeolian Islands and has a lively vibe with lots to see and do. Lipari town has a cathedral, an open-air theatre with plays and other gigs, and a busy main street in its Corso Vittorio Emanuele, stuffed with bars, cafés and restaurants. The town's acclaimed archaeology museum, covering the human history of the Aeolian Islands, its volcanoes and its archaeological finds, is also a must (two others are in town as well for peeps who groove on ancient history). Just outside Lipari, take snaps from the Quattrocchi viewpoint on the road towards Pianoconte (three kilometres), or venture to the Campobianco quarry for more of the same among spectacular white rock. The Terme di San Calogero thermal springs are eight kilometres away. For day trips to Sicily, 20 kilometres north, catch a bus near Camping Baia Unci Lipari to the ferry port, three kilometres away.
