Your first stop for outings nearby should be the park’s reception, as the site often organises activities including wine tasting days, scuba diving trips and horse riding on the beach. If you’re roaming under your own steam, make the first port of call Fréjus (15 minutes’ drive) for beach times, history-tinged wanders around its cathedral and archaeological museum, and family days out swooshing down the slides at Aqualand waterpark. To explore the coastline a bit more, it’s a 40-minute drive to Saint-Tropez or Cannes or just under an hour to Nice (and there are plenty more lovely spots to seek out in between these famous resorts too…) Turning attention inland, you should certainly make time to admire the huge Rocher de Roquebrune (10 minutes) and learn a little about the past at the Musée de la Liberation (10 minutes).
