Guests at this peaceful site near Sauve have access to a pristine outdoor pool, as well as a sauna, jacuzzi and 300 m² terrace where they can soak up the sun. If you're looking for a massage or some beauty therapy, the healing hands of the folk that run this place are available for a variety of relaxing treatments. Bon vivants who sojourn here can be pretty sure of a good start to the day as a freshly prepared breakfast is included. This site's location on the edge of the Cévennes National Park also makes it easy to get out into the countryside for some nature therapy. And if having 1000 km² of national park on your doorstep isn't enough, other fine spots including Mediterranean beaches and the wide open skies of the Camargue Natural Park can be reached in under an hour's drive. Wherever you end up roaming, handy on-site wifi makes planning your next move a doddle. The local area also has a lot going for it: a range of local restaurants, along with the village pharmacy and post office, are a five-minute drive from base, as are the scenic banks of the Vidourle river. Lokalne atrakcje

Sauve (five minutes' drive) is a must-see village of traditional houses and winding medieval streets. This scenic spot is located in the shadow of the Mer des Rochers ("Sea of Rocks"), a spectacular rock formation that can be explored via a circular path that handily runs through the village centre. Further afield, step aboard the Cévennes steam train at Anduze (20 minutes), or stick around and make your way through the botanical garden: 1000 types of bamboo are on display here. Too much of a good thing? If so, make tracks for Montpellier's sandy beaches (50 minutes) or the splendid marshy vistas of the Camargue Natural Park (50 minutes). Historical sights including a Roman amphitheatre are over in nearby Nîmes (45 minutes), while the ancient Pont du Gard is just shy of an hour's drive away. Châteaux aren't in short supply around these parts either: head to Tornac (20 minutes), Villevieille (25 minutes) or Portes (one hour) if you fancy a go at being lord or lady of the manor.
