Polubione The cabin was really stunning and we really enjoyed the peace and quiet and sitting out front in the evening with a bottle of wine just watching the river
The bed was so comfortable

Niepolubione The only thing letting the cabin down was no electricity

The cabin is off grid, an environmentally friendly alternative to our day to day lives. I hope you found the light switch run by solar battery and the USB charging points.

Polubione What an amazing site. Couldn't of asked for a greater venue. Rustic, nature vibe, free range chickens. Lovely place. Plenty to do. The owners have added plenty of unique features and attention to details. Plenty of games available, a big central camp fire. Loads to discover and I felt years younger after swimming in the wild waters. The toilet and shower block is second to none.

Niepolubione Only 1 criticism if I had to but more to advise others is the entrance to the place is a bit hard to find. Was passed it twice before driving down.

Polubione Lovely site, quiet and small and quiet. Easy access to the river for wild swimming, which is fantastic. Was pleasantly surprised that there was also table tennis, badminton and a trampoline set up on site. Very easy access to the town.

Niepolubione Was confused by ‘hammock forest floor’ description and didn’t realise it was only for hammocks, no tent pitch. Apparently I’m not the first to make this mistake - I’m not a seasoned camper and it was my misunderstanding. The guy was great and sorted this immediately for us on arrival so no harm done, just worth being aware of.

The hammock pitch is always good fun, some manage it, others end up in their tent in the main campsite but it's certainly a fun option if you bring a hammock.

Polubione We stayed at this site in our campervan for 2 nights in Aug 2025 and really liked it.

The facilities were clean and fab. It was a short 15 min walk to the castle (with some great views from the path) and the Ffestiniog line station. We swam in the river but sadly didn’t use the hot bath.

What we liked most was the effort and care by the owners to make the site/facilities sustainable, quirky and arty as well as functional.

Niepolubione Not a dislike but just to note that the gravel pitches are hard packed with no chance of taking a tent style awning peg nor any grass between them /to the sides to take one.

With a good mallet we have had customer put an awning up on the gravel pitch or we can park you the other side of the site where the ground is not so hard. We will check what is on the listing to make it clearer but please always talk to us once you are here and we will try and accommodate needs.

Polubione The river and woodland setting, the campfire shared space and seating area, lovely staff, the chickens, games area, the clean toilet and shower block

Polubione I loved the small quirky site, the hosts were really warming and helpful, the pitch was great.

Niepolubione 1st come 1st serve with showers!!! Day 2 the campsite was full and I could not get hot water after 11am. Had to swim in the sea to feel refreshed. I'm sure as its a new site they will rectify this issue.

I think the weekend you were with us we had lots of teenage children on site who were taking a long time in the shower. Our problem is we have made them too nice and free!
Our river would have been more refreshing for you than the sea.
We do have another 2 showers in build, not sure if there is another system in campsites other than 1st come, 1st serve and queuing. Happy for any suggestions.

Niepolubione I think you shoukd rethink putting a hard standing pitch near the bins. It was not good and smelly
There should be a noise cut off time and not being woken up at 11pm to midnight with motor home parking up next to campervan I assume filling with water
Hard standing pitches are to close to each other

Od administratora: Thank you for your comments, indeed they were something we already had in mind. The spot by the bins has now been changed to a parking spot for cars and the electric campervan pitch moved further away.
We have a 9pm cut off point for arrivals, people are unpredictable! But you are right we need to be a lot more firmer with this as it's not fair on guests already on the site.
