Port Ban Holiday Park

You'll find heaps to do around the coast and countryside of Port Ban Holiday Park, from days by foot or pedal, to trips by car to the likes of Inveraray and Oban – and by passenger ferry to Ireland from Campbelltown and Ardrossan. For history, the Kilmartin Museum covers the 150+ archaeological sites along this part of western Scotland; see one for yourself at Dunadd, the Iron Age and then hill fort that's thought to have been the capital of the ancient kingdom of Dál Riata (standing on top surveying your kingdom is very much recommended here). Day trips by ferry can be had to the islands of Arran, Gigha, Islay, Jura, Mull/Iona and Colonsay as well as to the Cowal peninsula; day trips by car include to the castle and jail of Inveraray; the seafood and sealife of Oban; the surf beach and splendid golf course of Machrihanish, and Easdale village for sea safari and high speed boat trips.
