I would point out however that the light in toilet has been working since your stay as I have angled it back up so it comes on when it senses motion in the tent. Someone had obviously fiddled with the light when using the toilet tent and unfortunately it then did not come on for your children! Both out sites are wild camping sites which means there is often not a person to check you in. It is really not necessary to have someone checking people in on a site this size and remote. Maybe next year book in with a bigger more commercial site that has that facility.

Od administratora: Hello, thank you for the review although a little unfair I believe. Shame you felt the composting toilet was not to your liking. The Bell Tent seemed like a good option when operating as a temporary campsite for the summer only. No buildings can be sited or anything permanent. The Cator Hill View site is never busy enough to warrant more than one toilet. How many people were staying when you were up there... I suspect very few! We never advertised as having running water or any more facilities than what you commented on. I would suggest a thorough read of the people's site description when you book for future stays. Everyone else who has booked with us has thoroughly enjoyed their stay and are happy to pay the £25 per night campervan fee simply for the glorious location and simple facilities. Regards, Dan

Od administratora: Interesting review Nicola... not really that helpful for people thinking about booking. Phone signal... not a priority for us... if it is for you then I suggest booking elsewhere. Composting toilet... all outlined on the Pitchup site information which is there stated clearly before booking. Again, if you want normal toilets that use gallons of water and pollute our environment please book elsewhere! Thanks
