Niepolubione Would not recommend this site. We'd booked for 2 nights but only stayed one and were unsure whether to stay at all. The sloping camping field was right next to the A39 and overlooked a scrap yard. We thought we could just ignore that fact, but about tea time, there was a group of youngsters shouting and jumping on the scrap metal and racing cars around and around.

Polubione Nice clean toilets with hot showers and the ground was perfect for putting pegs in. Nice field which was fairly flat so handy for a tent. Easy to find and well signposted.

Great view of the sunset/sunrise each day, lots of deer to watch.

The dog walk wasn’t what I was expecting but was still handy to have

Niepolubione The light in the men’s bathroom didn’t work.

Very close to the road which whilst it wasn’t really a problem it did take a night to get used to, and it’s opposite a hotel that had some sort of function on so played really loud music until 4am (the other nights were really quiet though)

Bit of a weird set up but nice enough for the price

I'm sorry you heard music until the early hours that is something that has never occurred before and will try to find out why it did and make sure it doesn't again.

Niepolubione Noisy contractor’s yard at the bottom of the field , noisy permanent residents/reving cars and driving around the field doing hand brake turns (dangerous disrespectful)facilities adequate but dated and tired

Polubione Had the field to ourselves, could choose anywhere, my boys loved the fact there was a tractor parked on our field. Close to attractions with just a short drive.
Owner was very helpful

Polubione The tranquility! I could choose my own pitch which helped me feel more comfortable. The sound of the birds, the small brook and the cows and sheep was just what I needed.

Polubione We had an absolutely fabulous time at Porte Meadows this weekend. It was just the two of us with the whole site to ourselves, as we were the only fools who fancied it in a monsoon of hail, snow and freezing temperatures. As soon as we arrived we were fortunate enough to get stuck in the mud on the entrance to the field. Luckily, Dave and his merry men were on hand to rescue us from our muddy woes, in an epic battle of man vs. Nissan Qashqai. 10/10 service, we were out of our rut in a jiffy.

Site has toilets and a shower if needed, we didn't use the shower but the toilets were nice and clean, with a drinking water tap/hose on the outside.
The site is beautiful, set nicely looking over the rolling hills of Exmoor, we even saw some Deer strolling about on Sunday morning accompanied by a small window of well deserved sunshine.
Can't recommend the site enough, you're left to your own devices but the guys are always on hand if ever needed. Looking forward to coming back (in the summer!)
