Polubione My daughter (9) and me, stayed here for 3 nights, at the end of the simmer holidays.
The pitches are of a nice size and all of them have a fire pit. My daughter loved looking in the stream and playing on the rope swing.
The facilities are clean and thoughtful; electric lockers for charging, washing machine, fridge freezer, 6 toilets/6 showers, 3 washing up sinks, fire logs for sale, chest of drawers with games that can be borrowed.
It's also perfectly located for trips into Dartmoor National Park, or the coast

Niepolubione This is more of a mention for future campers rather than a dislike; it was a little difficult to put the ground pegs in due to the stones under the grass.. But with that said, we did choose to pitch at the top of the stream which is the most stoney part of the camping field itself.

Polubione We really enjoyed our one night stay at the shepherd’s hut. The beds were comfortable, hot water and we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Our only regret is that we only booked one night we could easily have stayed for the whole week! It was a lovely place to relax and enjoy the surroundings.

Niepolubione There were only a couple of small things that could make the stay even better. A small bedside or reading light would be helpful, as the main lighting wasn’t quite bright enough to comfortably read in bed. It would also be useful to have somewhere to hang towels and clothes, particularly in the bathroom.

Polubione Nice campsite surrounded by trees. Firepit is provided on every pitch. Toilets and showers were clean and tidy

Polubione This is a gorgeous campsite in a stunning location right on the moors. The pitches are spacious. Being next to a little stream was lovely and there was lots of birdsong. Having a washing up station inside with two sinks was great and there was also lots of useful information. We were able to walk onto the moors from the campsite and the views were stunning.
The campsite was also very quiet. I wish we could have stayed longer so we will definitely return.

Niepolubione The toilets didn’t have any toilet roll in one cubicle (however I always take some just in case) and the hand towel dispensers were empty. The showers were powerful but soaked my clothes that were hanging on the back of the door! I was more gentle the next time! The rubbish bins were also very full and over flowing. This really didn’t detract from the stay though as compared to other sites it was really lovely.

Polubione Cleanliness of the hut/site, it was also fully equipped with everything we needed.

Peacefulness (there’s a no music policy which makes a huge difference)

Scenery/location is tranquil

Highly recommend if you just want to get back to nature and escape the rat race!

Niepolubione As others have mentioned ….a hook on the bathroom door would be very helpful for towels!
Everything else was perfect though!
