Burns Farm lies in the beautiful Valley St-Johns-in-the-Vale. An idyllic part of the Lake District. You just need walk off the site in any direction and it won’t be long before a hill comes under foot. Our nearest village, Threlked, is 1 mile away, and just off the A66. There you will find tasty bar meals in three excellent pubs – perfect for a stroll out for an evening drink or refueling worn-out walkers. There is also a golf course and cricket club boasting some of the best playing experiences in the UK. Along with Threlkeld Quarry & Mining Museum which has lots of fascinating features Burns Farm is situated only 3 miles from the bustling market town of Keswick, with its shops, pubs and restaurants perfectly catering for tourists. Burns Farm is a great base for exploring the surrounding mountains and peaks of Blencathra, Skiddaw, Latrigg, Scafell Pike, Scafell, and Helvellyn, to name a few. Burns Farm is ideally situated for fell-walkers, but there are lots of other activities on offer too. Keswick and the surrounding area has much to offer for the enthusiastic family; children young and old, and those who are still young at heart!
