Polubione Fantastic venue, multiple bathrooms, hot showers, charging point for phones, fire pits and bags of logs,kindling,fire lighters for a tenner. Clean, short grass easy to put pegs in and nothing to catch bottom of tent. Quiet, dog friendly. 15 min to beach and 20 min to wastwater.

Jonty was pleasant friendly and happy to offer advice on where to visit.

Could not recommend more highly!

Polubione This campsite is situated in a beautiful location with many amenities nearby. The host is a really lovely and knowledgeable man that really makes staying here a pleasure, can’t wait to stay here again!

Polubione Showed up late with late notice and owner stayed up to let us in. He was incredibly helpful and stayed up till quite late showing guests around and showing how all the facilities work. In the morning he was up early making sure everyone was sorted. Overall great experience with the camp site, good facilities, hot water, fire pits, everything you could want and need.

Polubione Camp site was beautiful, incredible views and many local pub/restaurants. Lake owner did great hospitality and was a funny guy! Definitely coming again

Polubione Good value for money. I liked the views and the freedom to pitch were you liked. Use of a fire pit is free, and bags of wood at £10 each seemed reasonable to me.

Niepolubione A little too barebones for me. The DIY facilities lack proper privacy due to gaps in the cladding; taps were difficult to operate as they are not fixed. No hot water at all - even the shower, which had it's own gas supply, didn't go above 17degrees. A welcome pack or email with campsite rules spelled out and a local guide would have been good. There was no obvious check-in area, just a guy who flagged us down as we arrived who gave information that was useless in that moment and instantly forgotten. They have a no noise policy after 10, despite this, we were kept awake by music and talking that went on past midnight. There was obviously no-one policing this policy.

Polubione We loved the setting, the surrounding landscape was gorgeous and we were able to watch the sun rise over the peaks each day. The facilities were great, amazing hot showers and great toilet set up. There was charging for our phones and many sinks for washing dishes, literally everything thought of and catered to. Jonnty was a fantastic host, very attentive, with plenty of great ideas for daily activities. Overall couldn’t have been happier here, a great way to spend my birthday and a perfect base for so many amazing days and walks.

Niepolubione Decent campsite, but the owner (jonnty) seems genuinely unstable.

This is the first time I've written a review for Campsite, but I felt I had to, given our experience. My friends and I were traveling from the south of England and were due to arrive after the normal hours (2-8pm). We called Jonnty at 2 p.m to let him know we might be runnnig late, udring the call, he bluntly said that if we did not arrive before 9:30, we'd be sleeping elsewhere, but at the same time said to say in contact regarding our travel time. I re‑contacted him at 6:30 p.m to confirm that we’d be there at 9:30 p.m. and he said that would be fine. Jonnty then called me at 8:30 p.m. asking where I was. I believe he miscalculated and assumed we would arrive an hour earlier than we had stated (8:30). After I told him our arrival time was still 9:30 p.m- he hung up without a word. I then had a text exchange with him where he also threatened we'd be sleeping elsewhere if arriving later. Once we arrived, Jonnty let us in and seemed perfectly fine. Later however, when I went to get firewood from him, I overheard him bad‑mouthing my friends and I - claiming we must have stopped for "f**cking Maccies".

Although I admit we were out of the normal window for arrivals, Jonnty was at the campsite until 11 p.m. and we had kept in contact and been perfectly polite and respectful, I feel that this was not returned in kind.

Although not in direct relation to our stay at the barn campsite, there is also some deeply unprofessional content on both the barn campsite Instagram and Facebook pages, including one on the Barn Campsite facebook where Jonnty implies that someone who dumped their trash should have their hands chopped off (I am paraphrasing, see the screenshot below).

In fairness, the campsite was clean and well-maintained, and for the most part, in one-to-one interactions with Jonnty, he was pleasant. However, the exchanges we had during the trip to the campsite, Jonnty actively talking about me and my friends behind my back, And his overall erratic behaviour. make it very hard for me to recommend the barn campsite.

Polubione We had a lovely stay at this campsite! The host was so welcoming and friendly, and always on hand with great suggestions for local places to visit. There are so many beautiful spots to explore, all within a short distance. A wonderful location and a lovely host — we’d happily stay again!
