The Green Caravan Park

Polubione The site is very clean and in a beautiful location. The couple that run the site are brilliant, chatty and polite. I feel that they would do what ever they could to make your stay as comfortable as possible. John even provided some concrete blocks and an 18" slab to put our disposable Bar-b-que on to keep it off the grass. Rachael was a lovely lady and really made us feel welcome from the off. The toilet blocks are a little dated but we're very clean and the showers are easy to adjust and use. The site seems very safe because John and Rachael are there so I had no worries leaving my tent onsite while we went out for day trips.
They also have a separate room to wash up your plates, cups etc if you need to use it and tumble dryer and washing machine which can be used for a small extra charge, again if you need to use it.We only had a short break of 3 nights to see if my daughter enjoyed the camping experience (which she did ), but I would definitely go back and use the site again there is a small shop literally 5 mins from the site for essentials. I also like the fact you don't have to be off the site until 12pm, that gives you a little extra time to get everything packed away for the journey home.

Niepolubione I believe there is not much to ' dislike ' as I have mentioned the toilet/shower block is a little dated but John and Rachael were in there every day mopping/sweeping and cleaning them.

Polubione Rachel and John were fabulous hosts, we soon established that they have recently taken over the management of the site and have worked tirelessly to respond to any previous negative reviews.
From arrival to departure they couldn’t have done anything more to make our stay more enjoyable, so much so we extended our stay 🙈

From to pub right next door to the local shop they have everything you could possibly need and the staff couldn’t be more welcoming.

Niepolubione Our little Doggo didn’t want to come home with us…apparently she’d rather be the site’s mascot 🤦‍♀️

Polubione Very warm welcome, the woman on reception was lovely, got given a big pitch right on the edge of the stream in the shade, it was 31 degrees so that was very much needed.. lovely quiet site.. would visit again

Niepolubione We was going to the pub near by on evening but never pre booked.. maybe something on website to suggest pre booking.. lady on reception help us find alternatives though

The pub, next door to the site is extremely popular- we have now added a note on our PitchUp information advising visitors to pre-book to help avoid future disappointment. In the six weeks we've been here, we acknowledge that we've inherited an unpleasant smell which radiates down the rough track at times & see this as a priority to manage asap - apologies that you found this awful. We are rural yet surrounded by some beautiful countryside walks but yes, it is a drive for other day out activities. Can you please tell us if we can alter our general information as we want to be honest with what we have to offer? Sorry to read that you wouldn't consider staying with us again but we appreciate your feedback.

Polubione Had a wonderful long weekend which was booked last minute due to weather forecast.
Super clean and secure site with an interest in recycling, toilet and shower block tidy and clean, all appeared to be level pitches and ours was alongside the river which provided trees for shade.
Although deep in countryside easy access to attractions including Church Stretton and Longmynd
Lovely pub at entrance to site which we didn't eat at -our fault we didn't book in advance - which seems to be very popular.
All in all site had everything we were looking for and hope to return.

We're sorry you experienced a bumpy, uneven pitch but if our memory serves us right- we had reserved you a riverside pitch which is very level but on arrival you requested a pitch away from the river as you were concerned about your dog. Unfortunately, we were busy so the options were limited but we gave you a couple of alternative options. We do hope to see you again soon.

Polubione Very welcoming at reception on arrival. Host accommodated us to a pitch close to facilities due to camping with a baby. Answered any questions we had throughout the stay. Clean site, friendly atmosphere and maintenance done daily. Relaxing sound of the stream travelling through the site which was great for the kids. Pub onsite and shop which sells everything you need. Would recommend and shall be returning!

Polubione Absolutely everything is to like about this stolen piece of Paradise. I was greeted with a "welcome to Paradise" ahead of my two night stay, travelling as a solo female, with dog, needing ehu to mitigate the impact of the heat on my floofball (I had planned a basics site I've been itching to visit and changed my mind with the temperatures - and I have zero regrets). The owners, John and Rachel are lovely and SO excited about wanting and being able to share their space with as many people as possible. Even with school holidays yet to begin, the site was busy but not too busy. Tenters, motorhomers and caravanners - including tourers arriving and long-term pitched tourers - are mixed in, with the exception being The Dingles, a cute pair of idyllic non-electric havens behind reception overlooking the little river that babbles through the site, the event field (DoE students were there when I arrived but you'd not know it) and The Plateau beyond. To the other side of the reception is the open part of the site - all ehu - and The Island, which has the much-needed shelter for my floofball, Fozzie Bear, and the sun to power those essential evening ambient lighting... Pub up a short path, shop over the road and another pub a short distance away. Toilets, showers, wash-up, chemical loo disposal, rubbish disposal, play area for kids with energy to burn off, a little dog walk area off The Dingles, but a public footpath off and behind the site, and nature in abundance - baby trout in the river, owls overhead calling to each other and the treat of a buzzard emerging from his early morning roost and swooping just feet away during an early walk - and all of this adds up to The Green being my 'return to' space. Two hours in on my first night and I was already recommending it - and deservedly so. Fozzie and I will be back!

Polubione Great welcome at reception who were really friendly. There is a fantastic pub just at the front of the site who do great food. There is also a small shop over the road for provisions and takeaway breakfast / breakfast sandwiches. Perfect.

The pitches on the stream side offered welcome shade in the Blazing heat late afternoon time. Phew!
