Likte Generally is a nice little campsite but would not be recommending due to owner

Likte ikke Please read his replies to bad reviews before visiting this campsite as this is exactly what you will be greeted with, a vile argumentative man who likes to micromanage his 4 pitch campsite. Never in our 8 years of campervanning round the UK and Europe twice have we come across such a rude campsite owner. Ruined our stay and felt quite unsafe there. Take the other reviews as a warning

Fra bestyreren: Hmmm….where do I start 🤔 You turn up early. You don’t make yourself known or leave a telephone message. You help yourself to another guests pitch. Con the tiny site by not paying for your two dogs. Get all defensive when you are caught out by a confused arthritic 5ft and a bit 65 year old…then please “we felt intimidated”…gimme break here! Be the first guest ever in 9 years to believe that the check-in details/basic manners don’t apply to you! It’s inevitable there will always be the odd challenges I guess in looking to maintain standards! The ever grumpy manager….

Likte The views, nature, ease of arrival and set up, not too busy even when full, adults only, pitches fairly big, lovely local pubs and walks

Likte ikke The road noise sometimes is unbearable, take ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper like me. Obvious lack of proper toilet block and showers but not needed for us as we are self sufficient

Likte Lots of green fields to explore and lots of variety of fruit and veg growing, was great to see. Chickens and ducks a farm shop were a lovely add to the stay. Good price for short night away.

Likte ikke Road noise was unbearable! There’s only a bush separating you from the busy A road and felt like you were parked in a lay by in the first field. Lots of people driving up and down the drive/lane in the day next to it. We moved up to the B field which was a bit over grown still could here loud trucks and bikes on the road but slightly quieter in there. Toilets were really far away from pitches so didn’t see them on our stay. No sinks for washing up, toilet disposal or bins that we saw.

Fra bestyreren: Thank you for your review. There is currently a diversion in place, due a road closure nearby and consequently an increase of traffic, but it is usually very peaceful and pleasant at night. The B field is further away from the road and the toilets. We do not have a washing up facilities but we do have a chemical waste disposal and bins are available.

Likte Quietness. Large pitches. Wonderful nature surroundings. Newly born calves. Toilets lovely and warm. Easy hassle free arrival, turn up and pick a pitch! Would definitely stay again

Likte ikke The smell of the farm could be an issue for some, but didn’t bother us much.

Likte Arrive when you like, easy access, hassle free, all hard standing pitches, very quiet and relaxing

Likte ikke Not many local walks one to the pub but it’s incredibly boggy, only a portaloo but wasnt a problem for us as we have a toilet in the van
