So… Snowdonia to start with? Your cabin comes with a folder full of ideas for walks, including those directly from the site and others from local top spots including Llanrwst (15 minutes’ drive), Betws-y-Coed (25 minutes) and Blaenau Ffestiniog (35 minutes). Or perhaps you’d like to opt for a different way to view the scenery – at speed on the ziplines of Zip World Betws-y-Coed (20 minutes) or at a rather gentler pace on the Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railway (35 minutes). Steer away from Snowdonia and there’s still plenty more to see – Conwy Castle (10 minutes), Welsh Mountain Zoo (15 minutes) and the smart seaside town of Llandudno (15 minutes) all make for good outings, as do the pretty wanders of the National Trust Bodnant Gardens (10 minutes). It’s also home to Bodnant Welsh Food, a fine place to stop in for a bite and stock up on local goodies for when you’re back at base (or back home…)
