Ik was blij met Just spent 10 days here. We had a wonderful time. The People and the place were spot on. The pitch was fabulous We had a almost enclosed pitch and it was absolutely perfect for us. Toilets and showers clean and adequate for the size of the site. Very central to all of the places we wanted to visit. Bedale was really close by with all the shops, cafes and pubs needed . Its in a beautiful part of the country , not one place we went dissapointed us.The waterfalls, many castles, Wensleydale, Leyburn , Ripon , Hawes , the dales, Richmond and even Harrogate all within easy reach, the village of Leeming bar (5 min walk) had a railway a coop , a few cafes , home store and a lovely pub that serves nice food . The planes from the nearby RAF base was great to see. Yes they're noisy but they are fascinating so its a defiante positive. The nearby road and industrial estate can be heard but not once didn't upset us and inside the van , no noise at all. This place is great and great value for money.

Ik was blij met Very spacious pitches, plenty of open space between pitches, good security and brilliant staff who couldn't have been more helpful ! Dog field was brilliant for my spaniels to have a run around and right next to the sheep field with a "sheep friendly ' fox knocking around too ha.. A few minutes (in a car) is the park and ride and a huge retail park with Asda and sainsburys . And plenty of major shopping chains such as m&s , boots , go outdoors, primark etc and a cinema . I think its in a brilliant location for exploring york and the local area. Within walking distance is a Toby carvery . If you dont have a car the site gives you a taxi firm with 10% off. They also offer free delivery on a takeaway service. Although the site doesn't offer wifi our phones worked perfect fpe Internet and phone signal. I really enjoyed our time here and will return .

Ik was niet blij met My husband is disabled and although there was a disabled toilet and shower room there shower was tiny and there was no emergency cord.

Ik was blij met Lovely well kept site . Wonderful views of the mountains . Big, fully serviced pitches. Absolutely brilliant toilet and shower facilities , really modern and spotlessly clean. The wardens are really friendly and helpful . Reception and shop a really nice touch with searching outside for enjoy a coffee or ice-cream . Lovely little petting zoo too . The dog walk was brilliant and the dogs loved the stream too . Walks from the site and close surroundings were all stunning . Close to Mach loop so saw some planes but only a few minutes and you're in the heart of it. We visited Barmouth , fairborne and Bala lake all around half an hour from the park . We will be back!!

Ik was blij met We stayed for 9 nights for out wedding anniversary and husbands birthday . First impressions were , nice easy access off a 'B' road , great, staff all friendly , lovely manicured gardens, very clean amenities .and it's telling that the place is very well looked after . Our pitch , was perfectly situated , amenities block , close to bins and dog area. We chose fully serviced and we were not disappointed. As regards to the others saying about traffic and aircraft noise . If you like dead silence then read the reviews and choose accordingly, but honestly , I think people just like to moan . Yes you can hear the road but it's more of a hum with an occasional siren . And who doesn't like to see the airplanes .. I love watching them . Situation of the site was perfect for us . We visited the cotswolds highlights (stow on the wolds etc ) Cheltenham wow the architecture! , Cotswolds wildlife park , great and dog friendly , forest of Dean , Cirencester and Diddly Squat. Just up the road , supermarkets , Aldi , Asda and a bit further away Morrisons . Home bargains and Pets at home . Then pubs close by and KFC. The aviator cafe does lovely breakfast and your right next to the runway .. Honestly a fabulous location. Our friends stayed for a couple of nights in the motel and said if was very nice too .

Ik was niet blij met This place would be absolutely perfect if there was a dog enclosure. The walks nearby are ok but to have even a small run on site would be amazing .

Ik was blij met Check in was easy and the lady was very helpful in showing us where things were and the walks direct from the site . Pitch side was great and the grounds were immaculate . It was clear the owner works very hard. Surrounding area was lovely . We went to the "Edge of the wolds" cafe /farm shop . Just a couple of minutes from the site which was lovely and dog friendly too . The dog wash got well used by my spaniels !!

Ik was niet blij met just a heads up for anyone travelling . Between 12 and 2 all of the toilet/shower blocks are closed for cleaning . Its arrival time which could cause problems especially for kids after the journey . Toilet blocks were very clean although the showers had my nightmare ... The push button !

Van de manager: Thank you. Yes, the toilet block time for cleaning is Midday as it cannot be cleaned through morning or evening rush hours. When checking in we notify our customers to try to avoid visiting the toilet block between 12pm and 2pm and use instead their own facilities. In case of needing toilet on arrival or for customers, who doesn't have their own facilities, we suggest just to knock to the toilet/shower block door and it will be opened for usage, no problem. Ik was blij met Lovely welcome and all staff very friendly . The wet rooms were perfect , nice hot showers too. Pitch size great and welcome pack was useful too . The views were outstanding and south facing. Lovely little villages close by. Montgomery was tiny but worth a visit . We drove to Bala lake in Snowdonia in less than an hour . Another place well worth the visit. The coop shop 3 mins away sells everything from tie wraps to hot tubs , not much it doesn't sell . The £3 a day for electricity is just enough for light use so as long as you don't have the heater on it should last you .

Ik was blij met Love this site and everything it stands for . It's in a lovely part of the countryside for anyone who likes the forest or canal walks . The dog area is great , toilets and washing facilities perfectly adequate . pitch size is fab! The owners are not in your face but around should you need them . The communal area /cafe bar is great too .

Ik was niet blij met We have stayed many times here and the sandy ground has always been a bit of a pain , getting everywhere and finding it in the van months later . However this weekend was a wet one and the sand got everywhere ! We had to put towels down to try and stop it but with the dogs it was impossible . It's unfortunate because it is such a lovely site but it definitely marred our experience on this occasion .

Van de manager: Fair point but if the ground wasn't sandy we would probably be shutting pitches due to the current rain. Ying n Yang unfortunately. We do have plans to reinforce the pitches with plastic framework and then topsoil/seed. This should improve the quality of the actual pitches. The sandy ground can be a negative for us with trying to reseed pitches hence our plans. That said kind review, thankyou muchly

Ik was blij met We had a corner plot under a tree which was a godsend in the heatwave. Very tidy site , lovely showers . Staff veryfriendly and helped when we had a little problem before our stay , the little shop was a nice touch and it sells ice-cream for dogs and humans ! The walk across the road was amazing . Due to the weather being so hot we couldn't make the most of it but went for some lovely evening walks . Star gazing was great here .

Ik was blij met This is going to be a long but very honest review ! Here goes .. The views are outstanding , we were right on the front and couldn't have wished for a better view . The size of the pitch was great and the way the park is set out , no one is pitched too close. Location was good for us as we used the site as a base to explore so being on the main road was great, we only hard a couple of crazy motorbikers from the road side and there is none train every hour , but we were right next to the train track and is wasn't an issue , actually quite nice to see the trains go by .. The nearby  beach, isnt a beach it's boulders . We managed to clamber into the sea but the path by it was much better for a walk. however, There are some lovely beaches a short drive away , dyserth waterfall a lovely place to visit, we really liked Llandudno front and the great orme is worth a visit  and Snowdonia national park close by too .

Ik was niet blij met Unfortunately there are some negatives.... We have never attached our drive away awning due to the inconvenience of having to remove it off the van each day, so we prefer to have it stand alone as we have done on plenty of "no tents allowed sites " because its not a tent !! We put it up as normal hammered the pegs into the hardest ground!  (our rock pegs went in fine but getting them out was serious hard work ) and then a member of staff told us "they don't allow tents " we explained it wasn't a tent, (doesn't even look like a tent lol) it was an awning  but she was adamant it was because it wasn't attached to the van .  we said what about when we drive away and leave the awning she replied "well that's ok because its an awning "!  Then the supervisor came and yet again said exactly the same, all very robotic with no understanding or reasoning . She then said  and the dog UV shelter must come down also as it was a tent . I explained what it was and said it's not a tent (a) it's too small and (b) it doesn't have any doors on it ! We were on the sea front in 25 degrees so I was trying to create a safe place for my dogs away from the heat . Anyway once again no understanding or reasoning, we had to take it down . I am very annoyed no... fuming that there was absolutely no compassion to cooling my 3 dogs in the heat, in a legitimate dog uv Shelter . The manager came to see us the next day and said we've brought something up they need to look at as it wasn't in their t&C's   he was very professional and with a degree of compassion, I feel There is a difference in being a dog friendly site and allowing dogs . It's a real shame we had a negative start to the holiday because the site and the view was beautiful , there is just one point , there is no where to take you dog for a quick wee, a small dog area would have been nice .

Ik was blij met This place is ran by a lovely couple who were very friendly and welcoming . The pitch was a lovely size and they thought about our needs which we are thankful for . The dog run was literally the biggest I have ever seen out dog loved running and running . The bridleway was also a lovely walk . We went into the Whitchurch which had everything we needed , plenty of shops and a lovely dog friendly pub on the corner called the horse and jockey . The site is a very quiet site in a very quiet area , and after 10 days in Wales , we were happy to just relax before home .

Ik was niet blij met There is just one thing that I think people need to be aware of . If you have a motorhome , cars are charged at £5 a day . Unfortunately if I'd have known this I'd have looked elsewhere, as I don't understand the charge , caravans come with large cars of course and take up much more room than us with our tiny car and 6 meter motorhome.

Ik was blij met Liked everything , from the size of the pitch amenities all clean and modern, the dog run was brilliant. My dogs loved it . The staff literally couldn't have been any nicer before and during the stay. Location was lovely , a nice quiet , picturesque, rural setting but close to lovely beaches and towns . Honestly if youre looking for a quiet adults only site , dot hesitate to book ! Thanks for a lovely stay!

Ik was niet blij met My only criticism is the stones used for the hard standing . It is super sharp , not possible to walk out without shoes , not even for a second , you defiantly need either shoes , carpet or the interlocking mats to make it more comfortable. Note for the owner .. The electric barrier when leaving the site , blends into the skyline making it unnoticeable until you're very close . Maybe a fluorescent strip or something would help .

Ik was blij met This is a lovely place ran by lovely people , who were around regularly to check everyone was ok . We got logs for our firepit from them too. The grounds are very picturesque, with horses trotting by and the odd chicken . The amenities are all clean and well thought out. I loved the shop , they've thought of a campers needs and if you've forgotten coffee or an airbed it's for sale and at very reasonable prices . We stayed for an extra day because it was so relaxing . We will be back! Thank you

Ik was niet blij met The only thing that I wished that was featured would be an enclosed dog run . There is a short walk up the field and back which was fine for a quick walk but to find anywhere to excersise dogs is a car journey away as the road out of the campsite doesn't have pavement.

Since being open we have explored and tried to provide this lighting but you would not believe how many have been broken, smashed, filled with stores, hit my bats/racers, driven into etc.... We finally conceded after this summer and done away with them reluctantly. We tried ground mounted, post mounted, fence mounted etc etc. We ask you guys now to rely on the sensor lights that laminate the area upon approach but it isn't for the want of trying.🌻

Ik was blij met Size of good level pitches that drained really well when it rained . Helpful staff , good location , plenty of dog walks (field, river, woods ) around, no car needed . Simple no nonsence checking in system . Park was clean and tidy . Great bar and food was delicious without being over priced.

Ik was niet blij met We were at the noisier end the bar and kids area, no big deal as we were in camper but if you want it quiet go the opposite end . Main toilet was very swimming baths but the shower was amazing .

Ik was blij met The owners were very accommodating, friendly but not in your face . Showers are the best we've used on any site ! No silly push button,lovely hot water and plenty of space. Rest of amenities were good and kept clean. The site itself is small and well looked after , lots of people I've read had issues with the traffic noise . We stayed for a week and had no problems with road noise . Yes you could hear a rumble and an occasional speeding motorbike but nothing that upset or disturbed us . (We live in a sleepy village so not used to the sound of traffic ) it's in a great location to swaffham which had everything you could need , as well as being a nice market town, you can walk it down the track in 15 minutes . If your going to walk the dogs at night you'll need a torch .

Ik was blij met I sent an email prior to arrival to express a concern and the manager did a great job in helping us with it . The site is nice and quiet full of like minded chilled people. Our dogs had a lovely time in the dog walking area with great views for is humans to enjoy . The facilities were covid safe, spotlessly clean and plenty of water fill stations around the site . The grounds are excellently maintained and the bushes and trees help to keep the wind at bay . It's in a great location not far from the motorway and easy access to the moor and Devon. Cornwall is reachable in just over an hour . I could go on ....

Ik was blij met Nothing not to like ! I had a few questions before arriving and the staff replied and helped with every email sent. Very friendly welcome even in the miserable weather , the pitches are a great size with hedge rows Seperating each pitch . Dog walk fab , we have 2 spaniels one being a 15 week old pup and I felt happy letting them off the lead. The site was full and it didn't feel cramped and there was hardly ever a queue for amenities. The toilets and showers were kept clean , hand sanitizer everywhere . I love the "eco green" ethos . Because of the dogs I didn't visit the SSSI area so can't comment . Monty's bar and the pop up food vans were a great addition. The road noise people have mentioned is noticeable but it's not loud unless a motorbike is racing . We were there 8 days and probably only noticed the road noise half a dozen times for a second , we were in a tent and no TV so the people who it affects must have seriously sensitive hearing . Thank you BOB we were made to feel very welcome and all your staff are a credit to you! The only issue we had whilst there .... We arrived on the apocalypse day ! We had just arrived when the rain started by the time we had the tent up we had a foot of water engulfing us (our pitch must have been on a tiny incline as other pitches looked unaffected) . Luckily the main part of the tent has a sewn in ground sheet but awning was under water . Nothing the site could have done so not a negative on their behalf good job we were on an all weather pitch as the water drained away in a few hours .

Ik was niet blij met Not a dislike but a fore warning for others . When you arrive the small slip road off the main road is straight off a main road roundabout , have you wits about you, use correct signalling and make sure you slow the traffic down on the roundabout prior to the turn off. Once your off the mail road, it's bliss from thereon

I think the park survived as best as possible in those extreme conditions but there was a fair bit of water for a hour or so. Glad it didn't cause any issues. We agree with regard to the road and being careful. Most drivers are fine, and apparently the last accident on that junction was over 10 years ago. We will look forward to seeing you again.

Ik was blij met From the moment we arrived we knew we'd made a good choice , the setting is beautiful, on a working farm with fields as far as th eye can see just beautiful. On arrival we got handed a welcome pack with some good information in as well as this the gentleman who signed us in was very helpful in explaining where things are on site as well as in the local area. We were told there is no signing out time so you can enjoy your last day with no rush which is a lovely touch . The aminities are all very clean and with everything you need , and all eco friendly! The cafe is nice and they serve food at the weekend. A few reviews complained about the road noise, we were there Friday at rush hour and all we heard is a humm no problems with that at all and we were the closest you could be to the road which is a massive field away. The dog walking area is nice but there is so many lovely places to take your dog in the surrounding area too. The evenings were peaceful, owls hooting and the starts bright, the very reason we choose to sleep in a tent.

Ik was blij met Everything was lovely. Ideallic setting, pitch size, plenty of space to roam with or without a dog. The staff are ALL very friendly . We had breakfast in the house £10.00 pp which included full English or similar, fruits, cereal, juice and hot drink it was lovely and worth the money. The situation of the campsite meant we could have easy access to Scotland and the lakes without being in the Hussle and bustle . We shall return .

Ik was niet blij met Not overly keen on the unisex shower toilet area. Especially when there is no soundproofing (if you get me) wouldn't put us off staying but both me and my husband agreed we would be more comfortable with 1 each.
