Ik was blij met First class site, so clean and tidy throughout. Staff were amazing, helpful, chatty. Bathrooms were spotless. Great long weekend.

Ik was blij met We used this site for a stopover on the way home, 5 minutes from the M6. Pitches are a great size.

Ik was niet blij met Limited bathroom facilities might be an issue at peak times, but get in there early and there won’t be problem.

Van de manager: Thank you for staying & your positive review. You possibly hadn't realised that we now have a second new toilet block which incorporates 5 more toilets & 4 more shower rooms to add to the other 3 toilets & 2 shower rooms in the original block. Also it has a new pot wash area.

Ik was blij met Well what an experience that was, Tuesday to Thursday and the campsite to ourselves. If you want manicured green spaces, this might not be for you. If you love walking, cycling, wildlife, you might have found the right place. Deer, Herons, woodpeckers sea views from the cycle path, which is a short walk through a field and 2 gates. There is so much to see, 4 miles to Lancaster and as flat as a pancake. Pitch was hard standing but grass was V damp and not usable (still March) not complaining. Only 2 moans 1 is the showers are push button and need to run for at least a minute if not 2, presently not long enough. Sign posts on main road could be better. Unbelievable site for wildlife, the view from the van window was amazing. Shower block was warm and clean just the push button as mentioned was a pain. 9 holes of golf next door and 18 one door further down if wanted. Ashton garden centre is literally 2 minutes walk, you will pass it on the way in. Great pub only 15 minutes away along the cycle path.

Ik was blij met Visited in a very windy October. The site was quiet but very clean and the staff we met were great. Showers and toilets were spot less. 2 minutes from a cycle path and footpath along the coast.

Ik was blij met Great site, lovely and clean great walks and dog area. Motorhome facilities were excellent. Bathrooms as said previously get busy during peak times, but really clean and well maintained.

Ik was blij met We had 3 nights on Silverhill. Lovely site, very clean showers and an excellent Motorhome waste water grid 😉 Great walks around the old colliery and to Hardwick Hall. A short walk along the road before finding the entrance and returning through the back fields. Great pitch sizes and well looked after.

Ik was niet blij met 6 volts for the motorhome, my fault, I miss it in the description. Too close to the main road for us, a bit noisy.

Ik was blij met We stayed for one night in August, unfortunately the cold night was too much having just had a few nights in a Shepherds Hut in Wales. We were warmly welcomed by Guy and Ali, given our safety instructions and shown around the wash room and toilet block. The site is basic and clean but you know this when booking, great for walkers, animal and bird watchers alike. Great for families as plenty of space for the children to play and explore. Pitch was good size and clean.
