Voeg je bedrijfsgegevens toeMake off to the Murcia countryside and a chance to immerse yourselves completely in some spectacular scenery. Miya’s Den Camping is a small place tucked in among pine trees and almond groves on the edge of the Sierra Espuña Regional Park.
The site is set on a private camino five minutes’ drive south of the Murcia white village of Zarzadilla de Totana, and the nearest neighbours are several kilometres away, so you have total peace… along with stunning views of the mountains of the Sierra de Pedro Ponce.
With such a location comes some amazing wildlife too – golden eagles often fly directly overhead and peregrine falcons nest in the locality. You’ll see butterflies, bats and lizards of all colours, and at night owls can be seen hunting in the fields while deer and wild pigs are sometimes spotted among the trees.
Preserving this environment is vital, of course, and the owners of this site are doing their best to make that happen – the site is totally off grid and fully green, using solar energy and water from a font well. A barbecue area is available for your outdoor meals, with a stack of wood supplied for creating fires.
There are several lovely towns, cities and villages around to visit, but the main attraction of this place is likely to be the outdoor activities. You’ll be able to tackle numerous walking trails, climbing routes and mountain bike trails nearby, before heading back to the site in the evening for a night of stargazing under the dark, clear skies.

Your first outing should probably be to Zarzadilla de Totana (five minutes’ drive), a tiny little white village that’s also a hub for several hiking and mountain bike trails including the route up to the top of Cabezo de La Cruz. The site is just on the edge of the Sierra Espuña Regional Park, so there are plenty more outdoor options around too, including scenic hikes and climbing sites.
If you’d like to see a bit more of the area’s urban architecture, plan a trip to Lorca (25 minutes), which has several Baroque buildings, an archaeology museum and a fabulous castle that was developed from an Arab foundation. The village of Burras (45 minutes) and the historic town of Calasparra (an hour) are also worth visiting.
A trip to Caravaca de la Cruz (45 minutes) is likely to centre on the spectacular castle, but it's also worth heading a little way out of the city to see the Cueva Del Puerto and the natural springs of the Fountains of the Marquis. With its cathedral, gardens and historic squares, Murcia (an hour) makes another great day out.
