Part of you wants an active holiday spent hiking and wildlife-spotting in the mountains; the other part mostly wants to lounge on the beach… and here's your answer to such a situation. Kampaoh La Franca is on the Asturias coastline, with the Picos de Europa National Park about 40 minutes' drive away and a sandy beach just next door for post-hike swims and sunbathing. Everything at this family-friendly site near Ribadedeva (10 minutes' drive) has been set up to make life nice and easy for guests – accommodation at the tree-shaded mini glampsite is in well-designed and well-furnished tents sleeping up to six guests, with bed linen, a cool box and storage provided and modern shower rooms close by. With all the essentials sorted, you’ll be able to dedicate your time to the fun stuff: hitting the beach, playing tennis or mini golf on site, or letting the kids have some time at the tree-shaded play area. For eats, you can pick up picnic materials at the on-site store, or abandon the idea of self-catering and eat in the terrace restaurant.

Lokale bezienswaardigheden

Sandy Playa de la Franca is right by the site, so you may well end up spending a fair amount of time there, paddling in the stream and clambering over the rocks as well as taking swims and playing in the sand. Take a walk along the coastline (about 20 minutes from the site) to see the Bufones de Santiuste blowhole – but don’t get too close, because seawater can shoot up about 30 metres through the gaps in the rock here. There are lots of hiking trails and mountain bike routes in the Picos de Europa National Park (40 minutes’ drive) – and it's also one of the few places in Europe where you can track native brown bears. If you don’t want to go all the way into the heart of the park, there are great mountain views from Mirador Pimiango (10 minutes), or you can try whitewater rafting through the foothills (10 minutes). For more days out nearby, visit Cave Pindal (15 minutes), to see the grotto’s prehistoric paintings, or spend the day in Santander (50 minutes), checking out Centro Botin and Palacio de la Magdalena and picking at tapas along the way.

Ik was blij met: Todo el trato y la atención recibida por parte de las responsables de las tiendas Kampaoh no ha podido ser mejor, muy atenta y eficiente, un 9 sobre 10.
Me gusto el contacto continuo por whatsap con ellas.
En cuanto a la limpieza del camping y el entorno, un 9 sobre 10.
La calidad de las tiendas de campaña me gusto mucho, teniendo en cuenta la lluvia persistente que tuvimos durante 5 días y 5 noches seguidas, no calo nada.

Ik was niet zo blij met: Discrepo en catalogar al camping como un 1°categoría, creo que le falta en según que instalaciones calidad para esa calificación (recepción y super).
