What a gorgeous Galicia setting… Kampaoh Ría de Vigo is in a quiet seaside spot on the edge of the town of Moaña, with splendid sea views over the Ría de Vigo. It will take you just a few minutes to get down to the beach from this family site, with a path running directly down from the accommodation area for a quick and safe stroll down to the sands of Playa de Tirán. This is a lovely sheltered beach so it’s a good spot for a paddle or swim with the kids, and this whole stretch of Pontevedra coastline has lots of activities to fill your days with –fishing, watersports, bike rides and hikes are all popular with visitors and locals alike. Everything at this site has been set up to make life as easy as possible for guests – all the accommodation options have beds (with bed linen provided), indoor furniture, access to a fridge and kitchen utensils, a private bathroom (with towels provided), a fan/heating system and an electric connection with lighting. There’s plenty of space to relax outside as well, with outdoor furniture to lounge on, a bar for the cool drinks and a play area to keep the kids out of your hair for a while. The location lends itself to the easy life as well – a 10-minute walk gets you to a supermarket and a pizzeria, or you can get to the centre of Moaña in half an hour on foot/five minutes’ drive for more shops, cafés and places to eat.

Lokale bezienswaardigheden

No one would blame you if you decided to spend much of your holiday hanging out on the beach by the site, but there are plenty more options around if you fancy a change of seaside scenery. You could walk 20 minutes to Praia do Con, drive for 15 minutes to Praia de A Xunqueira or drive to the far end of the peninsula for the Faro de Cabo and stunning sands of Praia de Barra. Across the other side of the estuary, the city of Vigo (25 minutes’ drive) is a good place to visit, for a stroll around the Old Town, a climb of O Castro mountain and some arty time at the Museum of Contemporary Art. It’s also the boarding point for boat trips to the gorgeous Islas Cíes, laced with hiking trails and fringed with more fabulous beaches. Hiking is an option closer to home as well – perhaps on the Rio Da Fraga trail (15 minutes’ drive) or climbing up to Mirador del Monte Faro (Domaio) (25 minutes). For more thrills, there are outdoor centres close by organising canyoning and coasteering adventures.
