A taste of village life, but with the city only about 20 minutes’ drive away… If that sounds like an enticing mix, take yourselves off to Teddy Camp, a peaceful spot in the small village of Shushicë, eight miles south of the Kosovan capital Pristina.
This small site is in prime position for those guests who like to have it all, as it gives you the chance to explore the countryside and take in urban attractions equally easily. Days out nearby might take you into underground caves, for a visit to a bear sanctuary or to various outdoor activities including climbing, hiking and cycling.
Meanwhile, if you fancy a change of scenery, it won’t take long to get to the centre of Pristina to visit the cathedral, Fatih Mosque and Ethnographic Museum, or just stroll around the streets finding local places to eat and soaking up the atmosphere of this fascinating city.
Whichever way you choose to fill your day, you’ll be coming back to a haven of peace at the site, where pitches are surrounded by trees and hedges in well-established gardens. There’s an outdoor pool to cool off in, and an outdoor kitchen where you can cook yourselves a good filling meal afterwards. It’s fully kitted out with appliances, cookware and utensils to save you bringing all your own gear along.
This is a friendly and laidback site that’s open to all sorts of groups and welcomes kids and dogs. All the essential facilities are provided, so you’ll have access to a launderette and a wifi connection as well as toilets and showers.

Minderjarigen (18-) dienen te worden vergezeld door een ouder en/of officiële voogd.- Op deze camping zijn hondenrassen/kruisingen die in de 'lijst met hoog-risico honden op agressief gedrag' zijn opgenomen, niet toegestaan (zoals de pitbullterriër, tosa, Argentijnse dog en fila brasileiro). Ook de volgende rassen zijn niet welkom: de staffordshire-bulterriër, Amerikaanse staffordshireterriër, rottweiler en mastiff.
- Commerciële voertuigen (voertuigen die gebruikt worden voor werk en/of het vervoeren van goederen of betalende passagiers) en voertuigen met reclameboodschappen zijn verboden op het terrein.

Ik was blij met: The enthusiasm of the owners
Ik was niet zo blij met: This site should not be listed as a campsite. There are no facilities for campers. We arrived in a campervan and were put in the neighbours garden on a slope with electricity supply on a 240 extension reel from the neighbours house. The "campsite" is an unfinished building site. Not worth the drive and certainly the monet.

Lokale bezienswaardigheden
A day out in Pristina (20 minutes’ drive) should definitely be on the cards – it’s a real melting pot of cultures and architectural styles, and there’s a lot to enjoy simply by taking a wander around the streets. In terms of major attractions, it’s worth stopping in at the Ethnographic Museum and Museum of Kosovo to learn about some of the country’s history before heading off to the Fatih Mosque and Mother Teresa Cathedral.
Closer to home, you can get out and explore the countryside on various hiking and bike trails, improve your aim at Reload Outdoor Shooting Range (25 minutes) or sign up with local activity centres for climbing outings.
You may well spot some wildlife as you wander, but if you want to be sure of sightings, plan a trip to Bear Sanctuary Prishtina (20 minutes), where you’ll see a colony of rescued bears as you walk along a mile-long trail. For a look at local geology instead, head underground at Gadima Cave (20 minutes).
