Ik was blij met Warm welcome, (excellent English) choice of pitches and clean facilities
It's a short (steep) walk to the chateau and town but worth it.
Lovely quiet location on the riverside with nice walks.
The small pool is lovely and clean.
Good facilities for emptying your motorhome but had to hunt for the bins, they are tucked away out of sight!

Ik was niet blij met You can hear the noise from the nearby road but it didn't particularly bother us.
After a lot of rain, the paths are very muddy but can't be helped!

Ik was blij met Very friendly, informative welcome from the owner. The campsite is very attractively laid out, with generous pitches bordered by bushes and small trees, and the River Thouet alongside. Gravelled roadways made driving around nice and easy. Excellent toilet blocks, recently refurbished, complete with toilet paper and handwash (unlike some more rural sites), much appreciated. Hot showers (although the lights are on a rather quick timer so take a torch if necessary!) Cleaned regularly twice a day. Onsite laundry facilities, and a covered pool which we made use of! A nice site to walk through and there is a bar at Reception (although we didn’t visit that). The walk to the village, 5 minutes away, is gorgeous, with lovely flower displays and borders, so pretty. A large Super U on the other side of town, within 15 minutes walk. And the chateau (which we visited) is a gorgeous backdrop, very fairytale. We spotted kingfishers on the river too! Presumably much busier there during summer as it’s a great site for families but we had a peaceful stay apart from some distant road traffic noise. Would recommend this site!

Ik was blij met We were very happy with the pitch and position. The campsite is well laid out and the facilities were very good. There was plenty of hot water whenever we needed it.
Access to the town was easy and a lovely place to explore. The Chateau is well worth a visit with stunning views from the ramparts. Within the town is a good supermarket with everything you need.
The staff were very accommodating and we could order baguettes and croissants as needed each day.

Ik was niet blij met One minor point - there is no toilet within easy reach of the swimming pool and you have to exit the area to walk over to the sanitaire.

Ik was blij met closeness to town. Reception staff very good. Chris extremely helpful and booked us a restaurant and the other young lady lent us a longer electric cable as the power points are quite a way from some of the pitches.

Ik was niet blij met Pool restrictions. No swimming shorts. The restaurant is more of a snack bar, only serves pizza and burgers. However some very good restaurants a short walk away

Ik was blij met Fantastic location within easy walking distance to a fabulous Chateau. Spotlessly clean site and facilities. Extremely helpful and polite staff. Highly recommend.

Ik was blij met Location was beautiful. Loved taking a walk along the river just behind our pitch. Facilities were clean and regularly maintained. Staff were friendly and helpful (and very patient with our poor French!) food was lovely, the bar was great to sit and chill with a good selection of drinks. The washing machine was fairly priced and easy to use. Pool was great. And the very short walk in to the beautiful town and the chateau made for a lovely morning out.
