Bring on the beach days… make your way to Broadway Campsite and you’ll be in a prime spot for heaps of Pembrokeshire’s finest sandy stretches. For starters, this welcoming place is less than a mile from Broad Haven beach, a particularly excellent place for a family day out; Newgale, Little Haven, Nolton Haven and Marloes Sands are all within a 20-minute drive too if you want a little list to work your way down. Gaps in between them are filled with walks on the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, and there’s plenty more activity nearby in the form of horse riding, surf lessons, sea kayaking and coasteering. There’s a relaxed vibe on site (the word ‘friendly’ crops up time and again in previous guests’ reviews), with plenty of space around the meadows for games, campfires and putting your feet up while taking in the views. And what views they are – open countryside to the east and sea views to the west… perhaps best enjoyed with a drink in hand as the sun sets…? A 20-minute stroll takes you into the centre of Broad Haven for a small supermarket, a pub and a couple of cafés; for a proper stock-up of barbecue provisions you’ll need to make the 10-minute drive to Haverfordwest.

Rustige, hondvriendelijke camping met prachtig zeezicht en zonsondergangen, op korte loopafstand van het strand van Broad Haven. Faciliteiten zijn schoon en basic, met douches van £1 voor 8 minuten. Ik was blij met Very relaxed campsite. No reception just had to phone when arrived, and just pick a spot to park up. Toilets and showers spotless. Only £17 for the night (no EHU).

Ik was niet blij met Nothing.

Ik was blij met Location good but we were on a field on a slippery slope

Ik was niet blij met Very basic facilities in a farm yard with unisex showers covered in mould and dead insects which you have to pay extra so total one night off season £29 which compared to campsites in the rest of UK is pricey for us.

Ik was blij met This campsite was easy to find as signposted well.
Additional instructions were sent via email to ease any worries.
I Loved the setting and the amazing views from our van...
So quiet and peaceful.
Dog friendly too which is so important for me.
Showers were a nice bonus with hot water and plenty of time for the cost of £1.
Water and recycling points available.
All in all a very pleasant campsite. I shall definitely be booking g again.
Highly recommended.

Ik was blij met Loads of space to choose a site for the tent, and there are views to the sea; (when we were there the site for fairly quiet but even at busy times there would be plenty of space). Exceptional cleanliness of the toilets, hand sinks, showers and 2 large sinks with hot water for washing dishes. (Ladies' loos even provided with sanitising wipes for seats if required).
Very convenient for Broad Haven and the coastal path, with a 15-20 minute walk along a quiet lane. Broad Haven has a very convenient coastal bus service and buses to Haverfordwest can be caught from near to the campsite. We didn't need to use our car at all.

Ik was niet blij met Not a dislike but observation from hubby that gents' loos are a bit more of a squeeze but always spotless.

Ik was blij met Excellent location, Excellent views the hard standing pitch was really good. The whole site clean and well maintained.

Ik was niet blij met Mens toilets quite small , more room in caravan toilet.

Ik was blij met Easy road access and good location, lots of camping space and a short 15/20 min walk to the Beach across fields and rural lane

Ik was niet blij met Men’s Toilet facilities are poor (Porta cabin block designed for really small people), Showers were really just not working (blamed on ongoing longterm water supply issues), not really any personal washing area and limited utility area. Dog mess on camping area.. Poor communication from management team

Lokale bezienswaardigheden

Whatever flavour of beach day you favour, there’s likely to be something to suit along this stretch of Pembrokeshire coast. Paddles and sandcastles are the order of the day at Broad Haven beach, and there’s more of the same at Marloes Sands (20 minutes’ drive), along with rockpools and a shipwreck to seek out (climb over the rocks at low tide to see if you can spot the prop shaft poking out of the ground at Albion Sands). Surf types flock to the waves of Newgale (20 minutes) and Whitesands (35 minutes); sea kayaks can be hired at both for those who’d prefer to paddle along the coastline. Nolton Stables (10 minutes) is the place for both beginner riding lessons and surfside cantering, and various outfits in St Davids (half an hour) can hook you up with aquatic adventures like coasteering and paddleboarding. St Davids is a fab place for a more gentle wander too (the cathedral and Bishop’s Palace are both worth a look), and is the jumping-off point for boat trips to Grassholm and Ramsey islands – keep your peepers peeled for whales, dolphins, seals and puffins, depending on the time of year.
