Just a little way inland from Pentraeth’s sandy beach, Rhos Farm Caravan Park gives you excellent access to Anglesey’s north coast while also providing a bit of shelter from seaside breezes. The pitches here are spacious and secure, with a good number of facilities provided to make your stay comfortable and convenient. Guests have access to a launderette, a washing-up area, a wifi connection and clean, well-maintained bathrooms with toilets and showers (with accessible facilities). The village is a couple of minutes’ drive away for food supplies and there’s a pub five minutes’ walk away for drinks and meals. As it’s a fairly site, there’s also space set aside for outdoor fun – kids can play at the playground or head over to one of the dedicated fields for ball games, cycling, kite flying and the like. Bring the dogs along too – there’s a dog-walking field where you can give them a good stretch of the legs. Those of you who are intending to head out on the water may also be happy to hear that there’s space on site for boat parking. Up here on Anglesey’s north coast you’ll be well situated for several beaches including Red Wharf Bay, Benllech beach and Lligwy beach, plus various attractions including the colourful landscapes of Parys Mountain, the colourful butterflies of Pili Palas Nature World and the imposing Beaumaris Castle. That said, it won’t take long to get to any part of the island you’d like to see – even Holyhead, at the far western edge, is only half an hour’s drive.

Deze goed onderhouden camping biedt ruime, vlakke staanplaatsen en vriendelijk, behulpzaam personeel. Gasten prijzen vaak de vlekkeloze faciliteiten, met name de moderne doucheblokken en het uitstekende, afgesloten hondenveld. Ik was blij met This site is convenient for us to visit friends living in the nearby village. It is a quiet site(when we visit out of school-holiday time anyway) and the touring pitches are reasonably spaced apart.

Ik was niet blij met We use mostly our own facilities and do not rely on site provided ones for washing, showering,loo etc. Just as well really because apart from having to pay extra for showers,I was very surprised by the ultra-modern sink washing provisions, which amount to little more than taps above a drainage trough, meaning that you cannot fill a sink with water and effectively have a wash. A case of style over functionality in an effort to save water??
On the subject of water, I have never stayed at a site with such a low water pressure provision for filling of caravan water barrels etc. You could almost walk away to do other chores and leave the tap flowing with very little chance of it overflowing.
Wi-Fi is available onsite for what I consider to be an exhorbitant extra charge per day/week when compared to other sites which mostly do not charge at all or are significantly less expensive.
We will continue to use this site when visiting the area. It is well kept and easy to access.The new owners have got most things right but there is always room for improvement in certain areas.

Ik was blij met Quiet. Warden was helpful. Beautiful scenery (when you could see it!).
Close to where we needed to be.

Ik was niet blij met Showers: They were expensive and too long. Impossible to keep clothes dry in shower cubical as too small and no curtain.
Grey waste site is very difficult to access for motorhomes.

Ik was niet blij met The local pub The Bull inn is not dog friendly, this is an important necessity for us.

Ik was blij met Excellent pitches and clearly a new shower, toilet and wash area - all very clean and well maintained.
Reception very welcoming and helpful.

Ik was niet blij met WiFi charge of £5 per device for 2 days is exorbitant and the first site where it’s not been free.
In this day and age - total rip off!
Needless to say to say we didn’t take advantage of the offer

Ik was blij met Quiet, comfortable, spacious campsite with some of the best facilities I’ve ever experienced camping. 😊 Highly recommend. Very friendly staff who helped us check in later than expected too!

Lokale bezienswaardigheden

Being so close to the coast, you’ll certainly want to set out to explore some of it – perhaps taking a walk along a section of the Anglesey Coast Path, looking out for birds at Red Wharf Bay (five minutes’ drive) or hitting the sands at Benllech beach (five minutes), a great spot for sandcastles, rockpooling and messing about in the shallows. If you’re in the mood for a burst of adrenaline, there are several places along the coast that offer fast-paced RIB rides either along the coast, around the Menai Bridge or out to Puffin Island (where puffins are usually in residence from April to mid-July). It’s also not far to get back to the mainland for the adventure activities at ZipWorld Penrhyn Quarry (half an hour). Sticking to Anglesey, you could take the kids to meet butterflies and other bugs at Pili Palas Nature World (10 minutes), see marine life at Anglesey Sea Zoo or pet cute animals at Foel Farm Park (both 20 minutes). For a history hit, visit Beaumaris Castle (15 minutes), or walk through the former copper mines at Parys Mountain (25 minutes).
