The Llyn Peninsula is paradise for surfers and kayakers, with the most fearless braving the foaming “Hell’s Mouth”: Porth Neigwl beach in Llanengan, whose four miles of sand have become one of the most famous surfing spots in Wales. Hafan y Môr Holiday Park is well placed for day trips to some of Snowdonia’s most popular tourist towns. With 22 towers in the walls encircling the historic centre, plus a majestic medieval castle looming above the river, the market town of Conwy is as impressive-looking as it sounds.
