Ik was blij met: Peaceful and spacious site, easy to find and helpful owner who gave me a great tip on where to watch the sunset. Absolute bargain for the price I paid will definitely be back.

Ik was niet zo blij met: Only one shower and washing up area, when the site is busier I can see that becoming quite congested. But again for a tenner a night I couldn't complain at all.

Ik was blij met: Everything! 🙂 Absolutely awesome place! Priya, our host, is a brilliant, very nice and very helpful person. Kids had lots of fun all the time, plenty of space to run around. Pitches are located far apart so you have your privacy. Plenty of space and places to walk you four legged friends. Short distance to the shops nearby and views are just breathtaking! It is a camping place in its definition so not for people who are used to facilities full of showers, WiFi and what not. There are compost toilets, one normal toilet and one shower. There is hardly any signal at all for mobile phones. We will definitely come over again.

Ik was blij met: Thoroughly enjoyed! The bell tent was set up with exactly what was described with a few little personal extras like hot water bottles and blankets which we were very grateful for! The scenery is magnificent and if we had more time, there is fantastic walks around. The weather didn't exactly play ball the whole time, but the tent coped just fine and we had a really fun time. We went to the Big Pit coal mine and would thoroughly recommend this! It doesn't cost anything apart from £5 parking and is very interesting !

Ik was niet zo blij met: Access to 2nd field was very tight. We were in a LWB van and it was quite tricky to get out the field. Anything bigger would struggle.

Yes, access into the fields requires careful driving, which is why we only list pitches for small VW and Transit size vehicles on our van pitches. We're always happy to help if anyone needs assistance with maneuvering, just give us a shout.

Ik was blij met: WOW what a setting. We sat for hours in the afternoon/ evening watching the birds of prey circling over the mountain! An unexpected treat for a super value site. Owners were very friendly and met us when we arrived. There was 2 super clean compost loos or the option of a flushing loo, along with washing up area and hot shower. Pitches are really well spaced out.

Ik was blij met: Everything! Friendly welcome. Designated pitches - very well planned. I had space without feeling alone. The wild meadows between the pitches were lovely. - the access straight on to the hills lead to amazing walks. - The queue for the shower could get long if it was particularly busy - but a shower when 'wild' camping is a bonus anyway. The wash house was a good place to chat with others! I loved it and will definitely recommend it. Felt very safe travelling on my own, and my dog was made to feel very welcome

Ik was niet zo blij met: The entrance to the field was quite tight - I was worried I would damage my van - or their wall - but this may just be my driving ability!

Ik was blij met: A gem of a site. Almost magical. Secluded without feeling isolated. Spread out personal pitches amongst wild meadows. Walk from the site straight on to the brecon. Very friendly family. Well signposted. Wild camping with luxuries. Hot water for washing up, a 'normal' toilet and 2 compost ones and even a shower. Me and my dog loved our stay. Not a campsite where they are trying to fit in as many people as possible. Great rates. Genuine hosts.

Ik was blij met: We stayed in the Cuckoo bell tent. It was a delightful weekend. The tent was extremely comfortable, with lots of thoughtful little essentials such as extra thick blankets, hot water bottles and a battery powered lantern all available. The two fixed beds were proper mattresses which made the two adults very comfortable. The tent was situated in a field with other bell tents but they were very spaced out. We paid for some firewood which was handy and had a lovely fire each night in the fire pit. The composting loos were a novelty for us all, very clean and easy to use. The site is hilly and the owner supplied wheelbarrows to transport all our equipment from the car park to the tent which was a great idea. The owners were extremely friendly. The site is about 25 mins from Hay-On-Wye.

Ik was niet zo blij met: Its not a big problem at all, but the shower and flushing toilet were in the same 'cubicle' which led to some impatient people waiting to use the loo whilst I was in the shower (trying to be as quick as possible!). There are composting loos available but I guess people didn't want to use them. It would be a minor improvement to have a separate shower cubicle.

Ik was blij met: Loved the welcoming feel of the place, very well kept and had everything we needed. The location is stunning and so peaceful. Fantastic compost loos!

Ik was niet zo blij met: No WiFi or phone signal, this was not a problem for us as we loved the peace away from screens but just make sure you have maps and directions/info about where you're going next.
