Ik was blij met A pleasant site in a good setting. Secure. Good size pitches. 16 amp electricity is good. Quiet. Easy to get to the bus stop.

Ik was niet blij met The facilities were good but insufficient for the size of the site. For us the lack of hot water for washing up is a real downside. We didn’t need to fill the motorhome with water but there was nowhere to do this as the water on the pitch is a good way from the hard standing. Altogether it was overpriced for the facilities available.

As explained by the Campsite Host upon arrival, the campsite is open all year round so having a heating appliance connected to this area would be extremely inefficient, and may run the risk of burst pipes and blockages that may lead to additional issues to an appliance placed here in winter.

Heated water is available in the Toilet and Shower facilities, that are supplied with heaters to maintain ambient temperatures. Additionally many campers, due to the nature of camping, make use of there own water heating equipment when using this area.

Hardstanding pitches have a fresh water point that is shared at a ratio of 1 per 2 pitches, located in-between the pitches. This has always been adequate for previous campers, and has never been raised as an issue before. Those who have not had a long enough hose pipe, have moved their vehicles closer to the waterpoint while filling up. There are also 2 points in the non-electric field that are also kept free for campers and their vehicles to access and drive up to. Additional there is another point located on hardstanding that is kept free for campers to use, which if this requirement had been raised with staff, they could have provided instructions on how to find it.

On the finial opinion raised, the campsite owners and the campsite manager conduct regular market reviews each year to ensure prices are kept as competitive as possible while also reflecting the true costs of operating a campsite, that are not always fully understood or considered.

Ik was blij met Spacious pitch. Welcomed when we arrived & explained all we needed for our stay. Toilets & showers were very clean . Peaceful.

Ik was blij met Lovely quiet site which is well maintained. Really enjoyed our week stay there, was a perfect base for exploring the surrounding areas. Really liked the fact that it was protected by an electric gate which made you feel very secure

Ik was niet blij met Not really a dislike, all I would say is that there are only 4 toilets, 2 with electric showers which are great. However if the site reached full capacity I don’t think these are sufficient to meet everyone’s needs.

Ik was blij met Peaceful, picturesque, and has the main facilities one would need - drinking water, washing up points, toilets, and showers (all of which were clean, modern, and fully functioning). Reasonably priced too.

Ik was niet blij met It would be nice if there were some walking routes that could be accessed directly from the site. The canal isn’t too far but I had to leave the site, walk through the edge of town etc to get there and back again. If there were a direct route through the adjacent farmland that would be perfect (it might be that the adjacent land is owned by someone else though so maybe not possible but just a suggestion).

We agree that it would be nice to have a direct walking route to the campsite however, there are a number of issues around providing this, one of which you have identified, another would be that a route from the campsite would bring you out on the wrong side of the canal for the tow path, so it would also require a bridge or a route to a bridge.

The existing route from the campsite is only a walk of 0.8 miles down a country lane. if you turn left as you come out of the main gate and follow the country lane you will come to a bridge over the canal, walk across this to use a route down onto the tow path, on the right hand side.

Ik was blij met Peaceful, clean facilities, lovely owners and best of all for myself it’s secure with electric gates for my motorcycle, a little extra peace of mind.

Ik was blij met Peaceful well-maintained site on a working farm. Clean, hot showers and toilets - unisex facilities. Recycling. Accessible grey water and chemical disposal. Great location. Choice of grass pitches or hard standing with electric hook up. Security gate at entrance.

With regards to hot water at the additional sink. The campsite is open all year round so having a heating appliance connected to this area would be extremely inefficient, and may run the risk of burst pipes and blockages that may lead to additional issues in winter.

Hot water is available in the heated Toilet and Shower facilities where ambient temperatures can be maintained during winter. Additionally many campers choose to make use of water heating appliances in their campervans, motorhomes, or other heating equipment they have brought with them when making use of this area.
