The Weaver family have been living at Wiltshire’s Whychurch Farm since 1899 – and even a quick look at the pics should give you a few clues as to why they’d want to hang around in the same spot for such a long time. What was once a dairy and beef farm has now diversified to welcome guests to stay in a fenced-off top corner of a 40-acre field called The Worthies. Although the farm doesn’t have its own cattle any more, a local farmer grazes his cows on the fields – so you’ll be able to watch them going about their lives while you’re sitting out soaking up the views and fresh air (and you might catch a glimpse of the roe deer that live here too…). The countryside atmosphere is obviously a huge draw for this place – but in fact, so is the proximity of handy town amenities. Despite the thoroughly rural views, it’s only a short 15-minute stroll to Malmesbury town centre for shops, pubs and places to eat. There’s easy access to the M4 from here too, so journeys in and out are straightforward (as are day trips to places like Bath, Westonbirt Arboretum and the Cotswolds). This is a rural site so you can expect gorgeous sunsets and stargazing. Sensor lights are set up all around the site to help you find your way after dark, but it’s a good idea to pack a torch anyway – and you’re welcome to bring a barbecue or firepit too (although you’ll not be able to use them on windy days because of the fire risk posed by nearby straw and hay barns).

Kleine, rustige boerderijcamping, geprezen om prachtige locatie & uitzicht op Malmesbury Abbey. Zeer schone faciliteiten (douches, wc's, afwas), vaak met koelkast. Korte wandeling naar historisch Malmesbury met pubs/winkels. Soms te weinig wc's/douches in hoogseizoen. Vriendelijke eigenaren.

Ik was blij met Lovely little site behind the farm. Easily walkable to the town. No issues. Facilities were all clean, tidy, maintained and easy to used.

Ik was niet blij met An extra toilet would be really useful during busier times. But that’s nitpicking

Ik was blij met Very friendly owner who made us very welcome. The pitch was large with lovely views towards Malmesbury Abbey. Great walks from the site. Clean facilities with extras such as fridge, freezer, kettle , toaster

Campingpod

Ik was blij met We needed somewhere to stay due to a family wedding nearby and this was ideal. Communication with the owner was excellent, we asked if we could gain early access so we could get ready and this was no problem. Christine even advised us about a local taxi company when asked.

Ik was niet blij met On way back through field all the young cows turned to us and started walking then started to run towards us ,not sure why we were quiet but scary had to get out of field asap .other than that perfect

Ik was blij met What a location 15 mins walk along the road to the historic Saxon town of Malmsbury , or a ten min stroll across the field , a small site but with well appointed facility's , spotlessly clean shower and toilet , and washing up area , beautiful views to the back of the Abby across open fields , the town of Malmsbury is a hidden gem , lots of places to eat and drink at reasonable prices ,a good range of independent shops , and friendly locals

Ik was niet blij met Could perhaps advertise the farm loo as a emergency option , as only one shower and one toilet but this is not a complaint just a observation

There’s more wonderful horticulture to explore at Highgrove Gardens (10 minutes' drive) and Westonbirt, The National Arboretum (15 minutes), or you could mix up greenery and outdoor art at Cotswold Sculpture Park (20 minutes).
