Looking for an outdoorsy sort of holiday with a bit of luxury thrown in? How about surrounding yourselves with national parks and areas of outstanding natural beauty while glamping at family-run Torre Cider Farm in Somerset? A couple of minutes’ drive off the main A39, the tents are handily located 10 minutes’ drive from the edge of Exmoor National Park and within 35 minutes of both the Quantock and Blackdown hills National Landscapes. On-site facilities include a farm shop and licensed Farmhouse Kitchen restaurant, apple orchard tours (and cider tastings, of course) and a kids’ playground – although you might be hard pushed to separate your offspring from the friendly farm animals. During summer, chug by vintage steam train on a line that runs between Minehead and Bishops Lydeard, stopping at many local villages along the way. Catch the train from Washford station, less than five minutes’ drive/20 minutes’ walk away. The popular harbour town of Watchet (10 minutes’ drive/around an hour and 10 minutes’ walk) can be reached along the public footpath that runs alongside the railway. In fact, this whole region is popular with walkers and cyclists alike, with loads of public footpaths to follow. Quiet country roads also criss-cross the area, making it good biking country, with all the hills offering stiff challenges. For those travelling by public transport, the closest national railway station is at Taunton (half an hour’ drive); catch the bus to Washford and walk from there.

Ik was blij met The yurt was cozy and extra covered area was nice when it was raining. The setting on the orchard is picturesque and the animals and play area are a nice addition.

There is lots to do in the local area and nice pub very close by.

Ik was niet blij met Bbq and fire wasn't cleaned out from previous person. No cooling utensils for BBQ.

Yurts/ tents are all in same area so you can hear noise from other people. I was expecting them to be further apart.

Yarlington joert

Ik was blij met Lovely accommodation in yurt, very well equipped and comfortable. Clean facilities. Lovely location with cafe, farm animals, orchards to walk round.
Close to good villages, coastal walks and things to do - we hunted fossils at Watchet, got steam train to Minehead.

Ik was blij met We absolutely loved our stay! There was everything we could think of, fresh white towels, clean private toilet and shower, coffee, tea, marsh mellows for the fire, everything to cook and clean with. Thank you so much Gemma and family for making our stay so nice! Animals around sand a lovely cider farm with home made food. White horse pub with great food within a walking distance.
