Farm life meets comfy and well-equipped accommodation at Horseshoe Farm, a peaceful glamping retreat within a fabulous 50 acres of private Somerset countryside. This is a proper rural escape, where you’ll be able to look out over open field views and meet some friendly farm animals – residents include alpacas, lambs and pygmy goats, along with two giant pigs (Apple and Mean Pig) who are true characters that simply lap up attention. As the location is well away from any urban light pollution, you’ll also be able to spend your evenings looking up into the dazzling stars that often adorn these dark skies (and look out for glowworms too). Settling in for an evening of stargazing is made nice and comfortable here, as each tent has its own private barbecue and outdoor seating for meals, drinks and simply chilling out. Inside, each bell tent is cosily kitted out with a double bed and two single mattresses (sleeping two adults and two kids) along with plenty of soft furnishings. As an eco-friendly spot, there are sustainable facilities here including solar panels (for electricity and hot water), plus an eco-conscious toilet treatment system for the clean and well-kept bathrooms. A 10-amp electric supply means you can run small appliances and chargers in your tent; you’ll also have access to a fridge-freezer, microwave and kettle in The Lodge, a communal space with comfy seating. How might you fill your rural days around here? Well, perhaps by following local walking trails, checking out country pubs or finding wild swimming spots. You’ll also be within easy reach of places like Glastonbury and Wells, or the splendid scenery of the Quantock Hills and Cheddar Gorge.

Gasten prijzen deze locatie voor de zeer schone en goed uitgeruste faciliteiten, waaronder een handige camperslodge. De eigenaren zijn ontzettend vriendelijk, behulpzaam en bieden speciale activiteiten zoals ontmoetingen met boerderijdieren. De rustige omgeving en mooie natuur zijn ideaal voor ontspanning en gezinnen. Ondanks het ontbreken van een hot tub en wensen voor kampvuren en meer ruimte tussen plekken, zijn gasten zeer positief en willen graag terugkomen.

Ik was blij met It was truly lovely. With all the amenities you could ask for and more. I loved the camping lodge it just made life so much easier. Beds were comfy facilities were clean easy check in. Perfect 🤩

Ik was niet blij met Hot tub was out of action due to weather but couldn’t be helped and if camp fires were allowed it would have genuinely been prefect. As there were only two families sit would have made more sense to put us further apart from each as they other family were up a little late. But it didn’t affect us too much

Ik was blij met Loved how quiet the area was, very friends owners who went out of their way, letting our little girls feed the farm animals with them.
It had really clean facilities and more than I expected, shared fridges, freezers, toaster, kettle and microwave.
Beautiful surrounding, safe enclosed field where my daughter could play.
Goats, alpacas, pigs, chickens, a horse and sheep on the farm, also a very friendly farm cat.
Had the best long weekend and would return again!

Ik was blij met The tent and the surroundings are so lovely.
We stayed for one night as a stop over.
The owners were amazing and so helpful.
Literally cannot recommend this site enough.
The little campers lodge was awesome too. A kettle, toaster, microwave and communal fridge/freezer.

Ik was blij met A Wonderful Stay – Peaceful, Welcoming, and Memorable

We had such a fantastic time. The site was incredibly peaceful and quiet – exactly what we needed for a relaxing break. We arrived with lots of plans to explore the area, but honestly, the pitch was so nice that we ended up spending most of our time just relaxing on site.

The owners went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. One of the highlights was a personal tour of the farm, where we got to meet all the animals – a really special touch. The llamas were definitely our favourite!

Everything about the experience felt thoughtful and well cared for. We would recommend to others and already looking forward to coming back!
